No Henderson? SurprisingSuarez
Sturridge
Sakho
Suarez scored one and created a couple chances that should've resulted in goals.
Sturridge makes it in purely for that goal, which was brilliant.
No Henderson? Surprising
That's bullshit. Check out Wizardry's post for the reason why.
Don't need to, had my eyes fixed on Touré for most of the game, his movement, intelligence, defending is 2nd to none in the team.
He's also very calm and accurate with the ball. Sakho did OK, not impressed with his passing, at all.
Midfield is a combo of at least 2. He couldn't do it all on his own.Until we learn how to control games and the opposition doesn't get to seemingly play to their hearts content deep in our half our midfielders and fullbacks can piss off.
Rewatch the game just looking at Hendo and his movement and positioning and you'll change your mind.Don't need to, had my eyes fixed on Touré for most of the game, his movement, intelligence, defending is 2nd to none in the team.

I agree with your analysis of Toure. In fact I also had him in my top 3. But I think @Judge Jules was referring to your belittling of Henderson, who was also absolutely boss on Saturday.
EDIT: Ok, just checked Wizardrys post. I was wrong. I can see his point, but Toure was fucking brilliant on Saturday, and to discredit him is wrong. I also agree that that was probably Sakho's best game for us to date.
I was referring to both points really, neal. Toure has been a tremendous signing for a number of reasons and he had another good game overall against Palace, but sometimes his defending style walks a bit of a tightrope in the way Wizardry (accurately IMO) described in his post.
You're right to suspect though that my main target was the garbage Modo posted about Hendo.
Henderson wasn't bad but he wasn't excellent like those three. I think the only reason he's in the top three for some, is because he was playing in DM and people naturally focused more on him than other players. Just like when someone from the reserves makes his first start, does "OK" and gets into the top 3. There were probably players who did better than him on the pitch but he gets a spot there because all eyes were on him.
Funny thing is that JJ is making it look like I don't rate Hendo, which I do. I've even previously stated that he's our back DM. So this isn't about Lucas.
The Lucas/Agger fanboy would never consider putting Skrtel or Henderson in his top 3.
Sad cunt.
In fairness I think it's telling that most of the people that have put Henderson in the top three are the ones that were most vocal in the most recent Lucas thread. It's understandable really, given that they would pay more attention to him and be urging him to do well.
He had a good game, but he wasn't in the top three for me. I hope he does as well again.

I suppose the reverse could be said too Gerry.
The posters who are downplaying the performance of Henderson seem to, in the majority, come from the Lucas defenders camp
It probably could be. And I don't think it's intentional on either part. So we have to look at the more "neutral" posters and see what they say...
