Lol how can so many have Henderson no1 and then others not have him in the top 3 at all.

Unless perhaps people didn't see the game and are going by the match thread.

Maybe they were waiting on him to show the attacking verve & goal threat needed from a defensive midfielder - because there was nothing else exciting to see.

Suarez
Sturridge
Sakho

Suarez scored one and created a couple chances that should've resulted in goals.

Sturridge makes it in purely for that goal, which was brilliant.

Lol, he showed twice as much in the role as Lucas has all season. Dare I say it 2 of him would be better than him and Gerrard today. Gerrard really is looking a spent force which is horrible to see

I have always liked Jordan and he was very decent yesterday,
Yet there is a lingering suspicion that some people are bigging up his performance more because of who he replaced than what he did on the pitch

I included Henderson because I thought he had a good game. With Coutinho out at the moment and Gerrard on the decline, he is the only midfielder we can expect to create chances and I think he is taking advantage of the opportunity to display his abilities. He is a young player who is improving all the time.

I 'MOM'ed him because he has been shuffled around the pitch by successive coaches and always gives everything he has got without sulking. Sometimes this huge effort he puts in makes him look like a headless chicken, but yesterday he looked quite capable and safe, they had just 2 shots on target. I think it is his best position, and he got up around the opposition area more than Lucas does.

Maybe but not from me. I didn't rate Hendo at all until last season and he's been largely ineffective this season but he was superb yesterday in this role.

Suarez: - Worked so hard and that first goal was him in spades
Sturridge: - Wasn't sure about Daniel but his goal was just lethal. I hope he links a little better with his team mates going forward but he just keeps scoring.
Sakho: - By far his best performance IMO. I love Toure but he gets in more wrestles than Hulk Hogan. There's a pen coming soon enough. Sakho was a beast and didn't let his agression get the better of him.
