3.Lovren - Just imperious at the back. Brilliant in fact.

Lallana very unlucky as is Milner.
Both of whom were fantastic.

1) Can - dominant. A physical, pacey, tough mofo. What surprised me was how Soldado out muscled him that one time - I've not seen that happen his season once ...

Can has got to be number one. He didn't play for three games since Dortmund and we were shit. Comes back in and we're awesome. Captainerise him this instant.

Then Firmino had his best game in months. Lallana was great but Milner was everywhere. Sturridge was ace. Kolo and Lovren... Hang on, everyone played well. Abandon thread. I can't decide.

1. Firmino - Can was brill of course, but Firmino's combo of industry and sheer skill swung it for me.
2. Can - I can (no pun intended) fully understand why so many are giving him MOTM.
3. Lovren - if he keeps on playing like he did last night, he'll become even better than he was that one season at Southampton.

Everybody was class though. Massively encouraging display all round.

Sturridge – really surprised he is not in anyone's top 3 at the moment, given that he was very much involved in all 3 goals
Clyne – another key contributor as we used his (and Moreno's) tireless energy to build most of our attacks down the flanks in this game (since Villareal tend to close down the middle very well) and also he neutralized Villareal's most dangerous creator in Denis Suarez

Honorable mentions go to the entire team and to Klopp who planned his tactics for this game to perfection.
