Lallana:
For a first game back, and to have to be brought on so unexpectedly I thought he was amazing. I know Can is probably the obvious choice for many, but I'm giving it to Lallana.

Can
The goal alone is enough to get him on here. And his performance was flawless.

Lucas
Solid performance from him. Dealt well with any potential threats. Thought he was unlucky to pick up a yellow. While it was never a penalty, he never went looking for it.

haha - he most certainly did ! He almost gave away a goal in the first half too with a very careless pass however you also forgot his fine assist.

I was also torn between Lallana and Can and we could, but for one inch of woodwork, have had two worldie goals in that first half, but in the end Can's goal is the difference for me and I have to follow the crowd.

Can
Lallana
Ming

Matip had an excellent game too.

Did he go looking for it? I honestly didn't see that.

Ming was indeed solid but i dont remember any stand-out moments from him. I thought all he had to deal with was pretty much what I would expect from any keeper at that level.

Two decent saves (low down right and the tip-over) but what was impressive was that he came for a lot of crosses, taking them with the minimum of fuss, and thereby took all the pressure off of the defence. That was a major improvement and hopefully a massive confidence booster for him.

Forgot about the tip-over, that was indeed brilliant. He does seem to be gaining confidence lately. Long may it continue.

He went down, had a cheeky look at the ref, saw he wasn't going to get it, bounced back up and tried to look as if he wasn't claiming for it. I think that's even what he might have said to the ref. The ref was correct, he went down and looked straight at the ref, that is looking for it in my opinion.
