1. Matip - dominant with his interceptions and also good positive distribution. It helped that Lukaku is a lazy git without the ball, so both our CBs had freedom to play out of the back.
2. Coutinho - welcome back, Phil! We missed you in the last 2 months. Now that Mane and Lallana are out, his form will be the decisive factor for our run-in.
3. Lucas - most of us dreaded seeing his name in the starting lineup, but as he often does he made fools out of us (April fools today). An excellent, mistake-free performance. But he still should be benched for the next game, OK Herr Klopp?

I also want to acknowledge that Klopp set up this game excellently, both tactically and psychologically. We matched Everton's aggression in the first 15 minutes, but didn't get suckered into in the tit-for-tat and instead calmly managed to steer the game into a pattern that favored us. This is where a steady top manager's hand is evident and was our big advantage today.
