Very tough to choose between Sterling and Coutinho for 1st place. Both were magnificent, Sterling had almost a perfect performance and Coutinho bossed and playmaked the game until he was subbed and did great defensive work too. A goal swings in in Coutinho's favor for me, but only just. Performance-wise this was probably Sterling's best game for us so far. It's scary how good this kid has become. Can he get even better?
1. Coutinho
2. Sterling
3. Skrtel
3rd place could be pretty much anybody. Henderson – top-notch performance and found a new gear after Gerrard went off. Suarez, obviously. Johnson tore up the right flank and was calm and impeccable defensively. Gerrard controlled everything and don't think he lost the ball even once. But I thought Skrtel was really impressive and pretty much nullified any attacking threat Spurs managed to muster. Plus possibly a goal-saving block at 2:0.
For me this was the strongest performance of the season, because we not only played them off the park, but managed to do so in a controlled way. There was always a sense that we have more in the tank and we are consciously not throwing everything we have at Spurs because we don't need to. And we still scored 4 and it could have been a lot more. This is how Bayern plays.
