I'd love to stick Sterling in because of the goal and the assist but he was quiet today apart from those 2 vital interjections.
 
Yep sterling was very quiet apart from the goal and assist. I'll go with:

The top 3 could be any from 6; Henderson, Manquillo, Sterling, Lovren, Ming, Skirts. I'm going with :

1. Henderson
2. Sterling
3. Manquillo (19 y.o and his debut and yet he plays like that)
 
Sterling - match winner
Gerrard - ran the game with his passing and set the tone with some tough tackles
Skrtel - showed why he deserves to start

HM: Manquillo. I really wanted to include him in my top 3, but objectively Skrtel did more to preserve the win. Apart from one mis-hit cross, I thought the young Spaniard didn't put a foot wrong all game. Looks like a player.
 
Surprised at the high praise for Lovren. He did well overall, but I thought by the end Skrtel simply took over the reigns in defense. I like Lovren's style too, but this would not be a performance I would be congratulating and praising him for. He will have a lot better games for us in the future.

This was my thought, I felt he could've done better defending in a few situations. Not a bad performance by any means, but nowhere near MOTM.

Gerrard?? were you watching an old rerun of a derby match or something? He was awful.

You include Skrtel as he preserved the lead but not our keeper who pulled off one unreal save and another great save while holding onto 3 other stinging efforts.

Are you drunk?
