Suppose it's not the best time to do this, on the back of tonight's non-existent display, but would you take any of their rejects?

Barry can fuck off, but I do like Milner although it'd be a question of where to play him, being too slow to play outwide for us and would probably play a similar role to Adam if played in the middle. Johnson had a good spell a while back but has faltered, but then so have many of their players. Other than that though I don't see much to get excited about. Anyone else?

And I've STILL got a strange fascination with Michael Johnson, despite him probably being pissed in a curry house in Rusholme as we speak.

I'd still take Adam Johnson if he was around the £10M mark.

i'd pay up to twenty, no probs.

Looking through their squad there isn't anything great after their star players.
Maybe, and it's a luke warm maybe, if Reina were to leave Given wouldn't be a terrible replacement for him.

This.... Adam Johnson is very very good. Albeit a bit of a knob apparently.

You can get to fuck with that cunt, Adebayor !

Good player albeit mad as a hatter.

All of this is moot as a mutha fucka.

Citeh don't sell anyone half-decent to anyone they consider a rival.

That is the one thing that really fucks me off about them.

They make all these overtures to everyone else's stars and then slam the door if someone wants out , eg Craig Bellamy having to go to Cardiff.

Good player albeit an absolute tosshead who'd make all kinds of trouble in the dressing room. Anyway, he's king of the Bernabeau now, so I imagine he sleeps in a cocoon of white shirts, with his name and twatty mug emblazoned all over the shop.

Cunt.

There.

That's what you meant to say, surely ?

De Jong, Kompany, Tevez (though he is mental he is a quality player) Lescott, Milner, Johnson.

Don't think any of them will be scraps though

As long as this is just a *NEVER EVER GOING TO HAPPEN EVER* wishlist, I may as well sling Yaya Toure on the pile.

He's everything Joe Cole should be.

Wanted him here for ages, but his price kept going up and up each year.

It's strange. They've paid a gazillion pounds but still lack the neccesary quality.

Milner, Lescott and Balotelli. 70 mill £ of shite.

Silva's quality.
[/quote]

I've never really rated him much. I've no doubt he's a technically gifted player, but even when playing for Spain I've always thought he was a bit overrated and certainly the lesser player of what is admittedly a fantastic generation. He's taken time to settle over here too, on the pitch. Meh.

Silva would probably fit our style of play rather well.

I'd love if we were in for Richards btw.

I'm really not sure about Richards - potentially a great player, but I'm far from convinced he has the character or the intelligence to make all that potential count.

The way they've performed this season doesn't fill me with confidence that there are many players in that squad whom we could rely on if we did sign them. The two main exceptions to that are Tevez and Kompany and I'd sign them both in a New York minute, if we only could.

Is onouha still on loan or did they sell him? He appears to be richards with a brain, so him please.

he is on loan at sunderland i think

scored a good goal against chelsea at the bridge for em

I reckon its the wrong time to say anything about City, straight after we beat them. I think they do have enough quality IMO,and they will win it sooner rather than later i'm sure.

Players as good as Dzeko will not stay shit for ever and defensively they have got some cracking players, Tevez, Johnson up front.... they are set i reckon, just need to maybe believe a bit more.

Interesting to read the thoughts of Mancini this morning basically along the line of " i thought we would batter yous and its my fault we took our eye of the ball", it might well be disingeuous and a way of deflecting attention from the underperformance of the players but it does give an interesting insight as to the confidence in their camp.... Man City KNOW they are good.

I would take a whole load of their players in the blink of an eye.

Sometimes good players need to move from the Prem to not be crap again, Dzeko didn't look like a threat at all last night.

Re the camp thing KNOWING they are good and the confidence, there is a difference between confident and arrogant. I think they are arrogant, like when LFC got stuck into them from the start it was like woah you dare to try and beat us and after a while they just bitched and moaned took their eye off the game and lost.
When I heard the post match Mancini interview I was thinking he is deflecting from his players a little and taking the blame.
