My concern with Aqualani is that he likes to play high up the pitch, like Gerrard, so there's a question of where he would fit in. And of course, he gets injured a lot. And he probably doesn't want to play for us.
But I think it's a bit silly to criticize him for playing better when he has time and space and for passing the ball before he's tackled.

He must have learned that from Joe Cole.
No-one can fault or criticise Aquilani's performances and contribution so far. He's played excellently. In fact, he's played well in virtually every game he's played for us. Not a lot granted but still. I like him and think he gets a lot of unnecessary stick. I'd still play Meireles ahead of him simply because he's put in more good performances than the Italian. I'd be loathe to sell either of them.

I think Meireles does it more.
