Mads Jørgensen has been employed by the English club Liverpool to locate Danish football talents.

In a few day trips Michael Zacho from AGF's U17 team to try-out in Liverpool. The British club has invited the talented footballer.

"It's not me who made the agreement. It came into being before I joined, "says Mads Jorgensen, formerly AGF-football player and current scout for Liverpool primarily in Denmark.

But in the coming years, it Mads Jorgensen's assignment to dust off the best Danish talent up and recommend them to Liverpool, and preferably at such a young age that the club can reach to influence them.

"Then I must see a lot of youth football at home, so I keep updated on what's going on in Danish youth football. In short, I help to ensure that a type as Nicolai Boilesen does not switch to Ajax Amsterdam, but instead goes to Liverpool at a young age, "says Mads Jorgensen.

It is mainly in the youth ranks, Mads Jorgensen must look for useful players.

"The Premier League is not just someone who can go straight into the Liverpool team," he stresses.

AGF has several times sent young players to try-out in major foreign clubs, even without it resulted in a contract.

But in some cases, foreign clubs picked young AGF'ere. For example, Danilo Arrieta to Valencia, Bo Storm to Heerenveen, Emil Lyng to Lille, Victor Pálsson to just Liverpool. The latter is after some unfruitful seasons at Liverpool ended in Hibernian in Scotland, Danilo Arrieta played in Hobro in the Danish first division, Emil Lyng has switched to Lausanne Sports in Switzerland, while Bo Storm ended in HB Køge.

"It costs quite a bit to get the wrong players. Victor Palsson is certainly a good player, but the point is that Liverpool by hiring me to do more thorough research than previously. But of course you can not hit 100 percent spot every time. It's a big leap for a young talent to come to Liverpool, and then make sure that the quality is top notch, and that human player is ripe for it, "says Mads Jorgensen.

The former long-standing AGF and Brondby player works full time for Liverpool in the coming year, after he has been selected from a stack of applicants.

"I contacted the club when I stopped playing himself, and when they changed the sports director and made their system on, I was contacted and was interviewed," he explains.

On weekends, so Mads Jorgensen include FC Copenhagen meeting at AGF U17ligaen where AGF's 14-year-old Michael Zacho did fine, including scoring a goal.

"He has some exciting offensive qualities as Liverpool have been aware of. They would therefore like to see him a little more closely the way and we has accepted the invitation. We see it as a good experience for Michael to try a different football culture, and of course we are a bit proud that one of the world's biggest clubs are showing interest in our talent, "says sports chief Brian Steen Nielsen to AGF's website.

It was Brian Steen Nielsen, who for nearly three years ago brokered the sale of Victor Pálsson to Liverpool.

"Liverpool's mission is to steal players in Danish youth football. The club comes to cooperation. But there are occasional players who at an early age is good enough to go to a foreign club, for example, Christian Eriksen, "explains Mads Jorgensen, whose task is the fact that Liverpool did not miss a great talent.

Preliminary gets the English club visit by Michael Zacho that may eventually add Liverpool to his resume in the tail of the HEI, Forest Hill and AGF.

Liverpool have had great luck with the download Daniel Agger to the club, and now looking back British talent in Denmark and surrounding areas.

The former FC and Brøndby profile Mads Jorgensen has been assigned as Liverpool's new scout in Scandinavia.

- I must give information on what there is of young players in the area I cover. It is primarily Danes, which they are interested in, so it's in the Copenhagen area, and I'll of course youth land battles. They want to know what's happening in the area, says Mads Jørgensen Onside.dk.

- I find it extraordinary talent in Denmark, which can eventually play in the Premier League. There is probably not as many Premier League players now who can take a ride directly to the Premier League, so it is more about young players, they can develop further explains Jorgensen.

The combination of Liverpool and Mads Jørgensen is not something that just occurred overnight.

- It has been a lengthy process. After I stopped playing football, I've been in contact with them several times, and then when they were ready to have a man in Denmark again after they had free Jakob Friis-Hansen, I was fortunate that the dropped out to my advantage, he notes.

The relationship stretches really long back, Mads Jorgensen was previously a fan of Liverpool.

- It is of course fine, but it is with a fan was probably more like young, but I've always followed up with how things have gone Liverpool, so it's very fun to work for them, says Mads Jorgensen.

Jorgensen's active career took him past both Italian and Norwegian Stabæk Ancona, and he got one A-national team of Denmark, as Iceland in 2001 were beaten by 6-0.
