...which we all know is more or less the final squad.

Do you still think Brazil stand a chance to win the WC now that Lucas is part of the team ??

Am I being too harsh ?

Ok maybe just a teeny weeny bit...

Great for the lad.
I like him, and am becoming more of a fan as the weeks roll by.

Brendan - what can Lucas do to lessen the hatred you feel for him? Please keep answers PG-13.

Not be a really mediocre footballer at best.

ie never going to happen.

Goalkeepers: Julio Cesar (Inter Milan), Doni (Roma).

Defenders: Maicon (Inter Milan), Daniel Alves (Barcelona), Gilberto (Cruzeiro), Michel Bastos (Lyon), Juan (Roma), Lucio (Inter Milan), Luisao (Benfica), Thiago Silva (AC Milan).

Midfielders: Gilberto Silva (Panathinaikos), Josue (Wolfsburg), Felipe Melo (Juventus), Lucas (Liverpool), Kaka (Real Madrid), Ramires (Benfica), Elano (Galatasaray), Julio Baptista (Roma), Kleberson (Flamengo).

Forwards: Robinho (Santos), Adriano (Flamengo), Nilmar (Villarreal), Luis Fabiano (Seville).

No Ronaldinho or Pato.
That strikeforce, bar Adriano, isn't going to win you the WC.
Ive never been particularly anti Lucas. I don't think you have thought that response through. He's not good enough at the moment for a side looking to win titles, but he's nowhere near as bad as you make out.

Yes, because Robinho and Fabiano are both shit, aren't they ?

that team looks very average attacking wise - bar Kaka and perhaps Fabiano.

Pato has to be on that squad come the World Cup, and they'd be mental not to take Ronaldinho who's actually been very good this year.

Why not? Fabiano and Robinho score goals at that level and Kaka is a class act.

Is Pato injured at the moment?

aurelio's world cup dream disappearing in front of his eyes because of insua.

Why ?
Has Insua been injuring Aurelio ?

Fabiano is a good player - but I don't really see him as a 'great' striker. And Robinho ... well ... he hasn't done much the past few months ...

Pato is on the comeback trail I think.

No but you are.

It doesn't matter if you think hes great or not. His strike rate for Brazil is very good. 25 goals in 36 games.

I guess Robinho scores around 1 in 3 for them aswell despite being more of a provider and playing wide?

Brazil create a shed load of chances and Fabiano is very good at putting enough of those away to win games.

Robinho is a different player in a Brazil shirt.

He scored the winner for Santos at the weekend.

Baros had a nice strike rate for the Czechs too.
Okay, I'm puzzled as to what point you are trying to argue now? I'm saying Fabiano is plenty good enough to lead the line for Brazil. You counter that by pointing out that Baros was good enough to lead the line for Czech republic.......
You've lost me tbf.

a) I never said Fabiano couldn't lead the line for Brazil, I just don't think he's a great striker
b) I just don't think he's the quality they need to win the World Cup -
