I'm glad that chant is growing nicely on the Kop but I'm not so sure that the lyrics work so well on the last two lines.... they lack rhyme... but it ain't bad...

He’s just not a top tier player, but I’m very hopeful he’ll be a valuable squad player for the next few years. If he gets injured again he’ll be finished unfortunately.

A delayed set of RAAAAAAAAATINGS!
Not much to add to the overall discussion, this was a powerful display that wasn't by any means perfect, but was illuminated once again by the goalscoring genius of Mo Salah.
Karius (6) Didn't have much to keep himself occupied, but another clean sheet is always welcome. Dealt well with a few dangerous crosses and also distributed quickly.
Gomez (7) Sound performance. Lacks TAA's verve and quality offensively, but on this evidence, looks more defensively solid. Used pace and power to quell Watford's forays. Did, however, lose his bearings AGAIN at the back post which is infuriating.
Matip (7) Made one super block and generally used the ball well, with some accurate passing that helped start attacks. One poor ball could have cost us against better opposition, but at this level, is very comfortable.
VVD (7) Economical and accurate with the ball, didn't allow Deeney to dominate at all. Good in the air and always composed. It's great to see a dominant quality defensive leader on the pitch, we haven't had one since Carragher.
Robertson (8) Did the boring defensive work with no fuss, and always ready to launch attacks, with hard running, some good passing and then that brilliant cross for Salah. On current form, one of the best fullbacks in the league.
Can (n/a) Didn't last long before he had to come off injured, which disrupted our poise a bit.
Henderson (5) Not at his best. He huffed and puffed and did settle later in the game, but there was a passage of hopeless play earlier in the game that almost single-hadedly gave Watford hope, with missed tackles and dreadful passing.
Wijnaldum (6) Put himself about and made Watford work hard for any space, didn't take any chances in possession but he ran into trouble a few times when he tried to be more attacking. The midfield options that Klopp has allows for plenty of permutations, but the fact that Can seems to be the most regularly trusted starter says it all.
Mane (7) Drifted into the middle regularly, and always looked to attack and be positive, and made several opportunities with his movement and vision. Can still look rather less in control of the ball than I'd like, but even if he can be ragged, he causes problems and is a threat.
Firmino (8) Some great work winning back possession, and made lots of runs into space to stretch Watford's creaking defence. One decent shot in the first half was well saved, but his audacious flicked finish was more like the sort of goal he loves to score. Now level on Premier goals with Lukaku on 14, and just behind Sterling. It's been great to see his improvement this season, and again shows how vital it is to have players who can contribute goals so that we don't have to rely on Salah.
Salah (9) What a player. I suppose he should really get a 10, because scoring four and creating the other in a 5-0 win suggests he couldn't really do much more. 28 league goals so far, and showing signs of accelerating his output, so God knows what kind of amazing tally he will get by the end of the season. Scored a mesmerising first and just carried on, ripping Watford to pieces with his skill, pace and unerring finishing. Amazing.
Subs: Milner (7) Credit for being more aggressive in his passing and movement than any of the other midfield trio, not all of his passes work, but he never stopped trying to create.
Chamberlain (6) Added a bit more mobility and action when he came on, and kept Watford under the cosh.

Maybe t's Forlan syndrome. Will score loads as soon as he leaves?
So why not give him a 10? I mean if 4 goals and an assist is not a 10/10 performance, what is?

I quite like Troy Deeney now he's stopped that annoying habit of scoring against us.
Even during the little kick a round before the game Salah is taking the piss.
But then nobody thought Salah was top tier until we signed him...
He has had basically the very worst luck a player could have had as soon as he arrived and he really hasn't had chance to show what he can do has he... Instantly dismissing him as not being top tier is unfair even if he clearly hasn't set the world on fire yet.
I think he looks tenacious and he fired off a couple of pretty nice efforts the last time he played...
I am a blatant optimist but I'm hoping that when he gets a goal and gets himself into form we might have a nifty player.

Nah, purchasing Ings at the time had me puzzled. Had age on his side and his tenacious attitude was great, but he'd never scored many goals, didn't have a massive skillset, not amazingly quick, and was, well, not a special player.
I was very pleased when it looked like we'd get Salah, as were quite a few others. He was scoring a lot of goals for a top side, had pace to burn and we knew he was skillful from when we were first linked to him a few years back. Nobody thought Salah would be a world class player that would outperform all strikers in Europe from the wing. But we were bringing in a top tier player. Of that there's no doubt.
Anyway forget Salah. He's on another planet. Ings is not top tier. I don't think he could ever replace Firmino, his rival for the starting spot. Firmino is top tier. My point was that I really hope Ings can turn into a wonderful backup should he stay injury free. As it is, his injury record's been worse than Sturridge (who was, if you like, top tier). I love his attitude/heart.
I agree JM and I also want him to succeed as a good squad player, and to be fair to him he wasn't that bad on the scoring charts for a young player when at Burnley, a different type of player to Firmino obviously...
I think maybe he could develop into something good and simply he hasn't had the chance to do anything yet has he, both of his chances the other day were pretty well engineered by him, he isn't pacy but he isn't slow, he does look as though he may well have some good qualities... we just haven't had a good look yet have we!
As for the Sturridge point... Yes... he was top tier.... for just one season... made of glass...
