Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspurs

There are few teams in the world that I enjoy sticking a defeat on more than Spurs. Cunt club, cunt fans.

I hope VVD fairly challenges the slack jawed yokel and during his fall Kane’s right leg goes in 3 places.

I was hoping more for it to be Karius, in a sickening coming together of the bones in their bodies that echoes around the entire stadium, and then a stunned silence only to be broken by the traumatised whimpering of children.

VVD and the Shithouse Ghost back in the team

Gini will be boss this afternoon.

Every big home match with a decent atmosphere he's looked the fucking business.

That doesn't excuse his tendency to be almost literally invisible in almost every other match, but it's true, so I have no problems with him starting today.

Can't moan about that team. Milner vs Wijnaldum is the only contentious decision I suppose

Oh, maybe Matip vs Lovren.

Chamberlain missing out again is no surprise. Maybe he hasn't played often enough and isn't used to how Klopp wants him to play, as we all know there's always a long period of bedding in before he starts new players

Quite surprised TAA is playing, not because I don't rate him, but he seems to have been protected quite alot lately and then had a dreadful game against WBA. Gomez has been littered with mistakes but is the better defender, and this is probably one of our sterner tests, so it's a big call playing him. Other than that, it's a good team, but yeah, I think the more agile Wijnaldum might have been a better option in midfield.

Gomez is injured.

I've raved about Milner plenty of times, but his most recent performances in the middle of the park have left me somewhat disappointed.

As I said earlier, Gini is made for games like this, they're practically the only ones I would choose him for in an ideal world.

Hopefully Milner proves Klopp's choice was right.

Personally I think the answer to his selection is Robertson at LB. If Robertson is asked to bomb on then Milner is the perfect man to fill in at LB, which Gini isn't.

My god mother's wife (my god mother in law?) is a Spurs fan, so I must own up to having a bit of a soft spot for them. Obviously will still hate them tomorrow

I have been staring at this for ages. WTF does that even mean?

I did actually think of that after I'd sent the the post but had started on the match thread (looking at the line up post led me to that man) so planned to pop back in & posit that theory!
