Roma coming off back to back league wins, resting some of their big players in the process.

This is going to be a tough game.

We managed to rest the full backs, Firmino and Ox only playing a little bit too.

Whats everyones plans for the game?
Where will you be watching?

I think we'll blow them away.

Form isn't that important at this stage.

Everyone will be massively up for it and the place will be buzzing.

One big thing though that won't matter is our fans trying to intimidate them.

The Rome derby is one of the most hostile environments in football and their players won't bat an eye lid at our atmosphere.

Just hope it gives our boys a massive lift.

And leave the fucking bus alone.

I’m going to the match. My first ever European night and my ten year old lad is coming too. Not a bad European debut for either of us really.

Don’t know where we’re sat yet but we’re both really looking forward to the whole experience.

Nervous as well, like, but hopefully we’ll have too much for them on the night and give them another mountain to climb at their place.

What a night to do it and what an atmosphere for your boy to take in.

Enjoy.

Your boy is going to have the time of his life.

Feeling confident of a win. Not sure about a goal fest tho. Nice two nil will do

I was nervous ahead of the city game and I would be feeling the same had we been playing Madrid / Bayern. Against the big teams, we do rise to the occasion. I just hope we don’t get complacent against Roma.

Roma are a really good side coming into really good form. They have more strength in depth than us but our first 11 is probably stronger.

It wont be easy at all

It's going to be solid

They're a very good side who play a football than can capitalise on any errors we make.

We need to be top of our game and not drop for 1 second

In the immortal words of Joe Fagan as he gave what the players thought would be a huge tactical analysis and stirring speech at the lunch of the 1984 final

'Roma are a good side, but we're better than them, so we'll win'

There was also a bit about being ready for the bus in half an hour but I don't think it's appropriate under the circumstances.

Also, if we beat Citeh 3-0, logic dictates we'll fuck these up pretty heavily. Like five or six. But I think if we're three up at half time he'll rest Salah for his hatrick against Stoke

Tough game no doubt. Hopefully a win to set us up nicely for the next weeks replay.

Karius
Trent Lovren Virgil Robertson
Milner Henderson Ox
Salah Firmino Mane

Case for Gini as well

It's all about keeping a clean sheet in the first leg for me. A nice one or two goal lead would be good obviously, but the most important thing is to keep a clean sheet on Tuesday.

Felix Brych has been named the ref for the first leg against Roma.

He was the ref for the first leg against City as well.

I saw both quarters at Andys pub. I normally to to Bohemen but there is too many City supporters. It worked out fine with Andys so maybe I stick to that one for European nights.

Andys is boss for every Liverpool game. I watched nearly all the big games in 13/14 season there and it brought us good luck to say the least.
Didnt watch the home game against Chelsea there though, I reckon its there where everything fell apart 😉

I'm fucking buzzing for this. Hearing the Champion's League music ahead of a Semi Final. This is what our club lives for - big occasions and performing on the biggest stage.
