I know city are a good team and I know we're winning. But I don't think we've actually played as well as we can.

We haven't, we've stalled when attacking at their penalty area far too often.

Thankfully Klopp has proven good at cracking those puzzles at half time so hopefully he can repeat the trick.

Firminio not at his best yet. Can see him coming off in the 60-something mark if he continues in this vein. Saying that, he's just as likely to score in the second half, especially after a half-time boot up the butt by Klopp.

I feel like we haven't had to put a lot of effort into this so far, not quite as much effort to drop off as it is too press madly. Might be good things to come in the second half.

I thought City actually looked the more composed that half and we looked like the away side at times.

Content to let them have it and press when they crossed the halfway line.

half time thoughts:

• Klopp has set this up really well - Man City looked really frustrated despite having more of the possession.
• That goal was just fantastic. Great touch and fantastic pass by Firmino to set Lallana off on the left flank, a perfect delivery into the box and Gini with a Garcia'esque header leaving Bravo with no chance. Just beautiful.
• Klavan has been good so far despite the yellow - nice tackle on De Bruyne.
• We haven't been great - but the pressure is forcing City into early passes and looking rather poor. Something has to change - either we play better and obliterate this team, or they play better and we'll see what happens.

Trget the greedy git. He's a red card waiting to happen if we niggle him. Thought the middle three have played really well. Lallans superb, Firmino not quite got it right but you know he will unlock with a killer pass or shot this half. Mane pretty good but looked to have run out of steam the last 10 mins.
