St Michaels... Played there many times. A chemical plant next door, and on one of the holes on the back 9, there was a little stream of green sludge running through the fairway. Lovely place.
That's the one - if your ball went in the "stream" you didn't try to get it back in case your fingers burnt off.

The time I was referring to, someone had curled a nice stinky one into the hole on the 8th or 9th. My mate had a putt to win the hole, and despite knowing what was waiting inside, took it on. He didn't even swap out to an old ball that he could leave behind. He holed out and picked the ball out of the turd, cleaned it on a rag & continued as if nothing untoward had happened. Dirty bastard.
My other memory of that course is having my car radio nicked in the car park

Daniele Orsato is the man in the middle.

This will be a big moment for the Italian, as he has never officiated a Liverpool game before.

He did, however, oversee Champions League victories for Leicester City and Manchester City last season.

Expect a few cards. His last three Champions League games have seen 20 yellows and one red.

From tonight's presser:

Coutinho is now ill as well as injured!

Everything is cool between Coutinho and myself. Absolutely. 100%.

It's only half time. We have to be better in this game.

How will we approach the game? Wait and see. We have a plan.

Did we practice penalties? I let them practice after training if they wanted to. We already have that kind of thing as an ongoing element anyway.

'Widnes' is a perfect name for Widnes.

It just *sounds* shit. And when you go there, it fits so well.

Whenever I hear 'Widnes', my mind instantly conjures up a monochrome image of a half-eaten pie that's been dropped into a puddle.

Nothing good or cool has ever happened or come from Widnes.

Apart from that song Paul Simon wrote, but yeah.

We work in an office near the Runcorn Bridge (and the new mammoth bridge that's opening in weeks), we close the windows regularly because you can "smell" Widnes.

True fact.

The hoffenheim coach has come across like a mug during the initial draw, pre match the first leg , post match and now again tonight

Apparently he's an absolutely wonderful man and he's just joking. At least that was what I was told on here when I suggested he seemed a bit of a tit.

He's a smashing bloke in the German language to the Germans but comes across like a cunt in translation into English. Like Hitler in the 1930s.

I"LL reserve any compliments and or niceties for the opposition till after the ref blows the final whistle!

Ming

TAA---Matip----Lovren----Robertson

Can----Henderson-----Milner

Mane--Solanke--Salah

Klopp will probably play Firmino, but that's pretty close to the side I expect. Wijnaldum's been shite so he should be dropped.

Milner and Robertson impressed too much not to give them another go, that midfield looks so painfully agricultural though, not that Gini would change that too much.

I´d like us to go back to 4-2-3-1

--------------Mignolet------------
TAA-Matip-Lovren-Robertson
--------Henderson-Can----------
Salah-------Firmino------Mane
--------------Sturridge-----------

So would I. It might have been a different story if we'd signed Keita, but we haven't (not yet anyway?) and we need to react accordingly IMO.

Just do what it takes to qualify, it will be a cold place on earth in here tomorrow if we balls this up.

A result and we can look forward to some great nights back in Europe and will have a spring in our step going in to the Arsenal game.

#LFC starting XI v #TSG: Mignolet, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Lovren, Moreno, Henderson, Can, Wijnaldum, Mane, Salah, Firmino
