Don't know why y'all surprised about Keita. I gave up on him ages ago. "Naby lad" needs selling at the next opportunity.

It’s 2020 and anything can happen.. but we’ll win this.

Their main thread is their wingers/AM with Sisto being their key-player and Dreyer/Evander/Onyeka/Cajuste/Mabil all talented but also very raw at this level.

FCM got proper beat in their first outing. They really had a go at Atalanta for the first 10-15 but then they were simply outplayed. (Atalanta’s Gomez is some player and they have loads of strong, powerful units too).

Klopp knows the importance of a fast game-over here, so I guess we’ll go from the off and even though FCM will certainly have a different approach/game-plan for this game it should be enough to end the tie within the first 30-45.

4-1 is a good shout.

Only worry is if we have too many youngsters from the start then it could play into FCMs confidence.

Sisto and Scholz (CD) the ones to watch with Cajuste/Dreyer/Evander/Onyeka all very promising but fragile at this level.

How long can the CL continue with covid spiking across Spain, Italy, France and UK. As soon as one of the main countries closes its borders the whole thing becomea unviable

Just over a month (9th Dec.) to completion of the group stages - they'll be hoping to get through that (even with the odd postponement) and then they'll be hoping infections drop off by the time the KO rounds come around :

First legs: 15/16 February
Second legs: 16/17 March

How come the teams are being leaked again? Who's the source? It dried up for ages. Jota to score again tomorrow.

Rumoured team:

Allison
Trent
Fabinho
Gomez
Robbo
Hendo
Milner
Shaqiri
Origi
Minimino
Jota

Yeah, we could do without the leaks.

Take the weekend, Klopp said he changed the formation and line up based on not having time to prepare for Sheffield United while they had the week.

To combat what they had been preparing for, he made the switch. A leak the day before potentially changes the game in favour of the opposition

Looking forward to seeing Awer Mabil in action tomorrow.

What a story that kid has.

His family fled Sudan during the civil war - he was raised in a refugee camp in Kenya, moved to Australia at 10.

Got his break in the A-League at 17 and now plying his trade in Europe and capped for Australia at senior level.

Ok so 1 game in how many? And 1 of them still played.

As I said, no chance none of the 3 don't start in an important game.

Pretty sure v Barca the other 2 were injured/suspended right? With all 3 fit there's no chance.

You're ignoring the fact this season is condensed and players will be rotated more aggressively than in any other season in history. Given we've beaten Ajax away already I can see us comfortably resting the front three and only bringing them on if required. Our back ups are still used to playing a far higher level than our opposition.

If you were to provide our fixtures with a difficulty rating this would probably be our lowest of the season. If we want to battle on 2 fronts this season, then this is the perfect time to not start our front 3. Against Ajax we took them all off at the same time. If it doesn’t go to plan without the 3 tonight then we can put them all on at the same time.

I think I'd rather try to qualify early and then take the piss in the later rounds. As said by others, there are 5 subs so we can easily rest people if we do get a decent lead.

We're also playing tue sat tue sat wed sat tue sun wed sat, fucking off on stupid internationals around the world & playing tue sat wed sun etc etc etc for about forever.

I would fully expect a front 3 of Minamino, Shaqiri and Origi/Jota to be more than enough to beat these.

The accumulation of games is the issue, not playing again within 72 hrs but playing 12 games within a month. We must use our whole squad and not just play full strength and rotate subs in. However Klopp will want to notch a second win to enable us to establish some security within the group.

Experience in defence. A strong midfield that Thiago should dominate and enough up front to score a couple or so. They lost 4-0 at home to Atalanta in their first match.

Win 2/3 - 0

Should be more than strong enough. Fill the bench with first teamers to use if and as required.
Time to update this based upon Klopp's comments that Matip, Thiago & Keita won't be fit enough to start.

N. Williams ........ Phillips ......... R. Williams ........... Milner
(I don't believe Klopp will play those two CBs so expect Gomez in there)

Fuck me Frogfish, it's not a fucking domestic cup game. WTF

If front 3 are all rested I will personally give everyone here £1000 cash.

I’m still waiting on a watch from another poster. If this does happen I won’t start spending that grand.

*checks up on the new camera I'd like - suggests Binomial ups that to £4,000 (or alternatively just fuck off those that can't be bothered posting their team)*

At least 8 of those players would walk into their team. They should be more than capable of winning, though I agree that Klopp and those of a more nervous disposition won't agree with me.

We're crying about injuries now - imagine how bad that'll get if we lose a few more by the end of this insane schedule.
