So what's the deal now then? Will we finish in a UEFA Cup spot?
Yeah, Everton can't catch us no matter what we do.

It's nearly over.

the game and the season... the good news is that next year can't get any worse (can it?!?)

Do you ever look at the league table?

I'm pretty sure the blueslime can't overtake us now after failing to win yesterday.

Cold comfort, but there we are.

Not since much earlier in the season, no.

I will have a look after the game later on.

Why not take off fucking kyrgiakos or something?
Because we'd get battered 5/6-0 with 3 defenders against Chelsea.

We just have to keep this respectable.
i don't think we would. Just whack the ball up and try and get more than a man in the box.

Does anyone know why we have that Chinese (?) sponsorship on our shirts, and what does it say?
it says carlsberg in chinese, for some marketing reason.

And if Masher hadn't got his form back after Christmas (not that he's played well today).

Someone asked about Liverpool fans wearing a Chelsea scarf earlier

Forget the 4-1, this has been the most humiliating defeat against Chelsea (or any top 4 team) in the last 6 years. I'm not getting carried away with that statement either - Chelsea haven't gotten out of 2nd gear at Anfield and they're making us look 2nd rate.

This clod of a commentator going on about Liverpool are too big a club to be a 2 man team and something needs to be done about it. Piss off! We're not a two man club - Mascher, Agger, Reina, Carra - even Johnson at times are all players who would not be out of place in the team at Stamford or OT. Our problem is that we've only got two players who can win a match or cause the defense some sleepless nights.

Right now we don't seem to have too many players who can string passes together; Agger has misplaced yet another pass, Aquilani has just attempted a shot that went backwards - we're embarassing, that's the only way to describe it. What must the King be thinking sat there watching it?

This is shit.

I actually thought it might be a good idea to stop Man Utd winning their 19th title but I don't now.

This insipid display of football gives no hope for next season, there's no drive, no 'I played my best', no pride left in this team, no professionalism. It's all 'I'm depressed over a disappointing season, woe me and feel sorry for me. Give me your pity. Let's lose this game to spite Man Utd, let's be a nasty little cunt'.

Utter fucking shite.

To be fair to Wilko, he seems to take abuse pretty much every time he's on here with nothing mentioned
Agreed.
What you mean like from Brendan? Whose been banned about 15 times? Spion, Paddy, Stu and other 'friends' have been banned recently for abuses so I'm not having the double standard crap. There's a difference between banter and 'sack of shit' and we try to be fair in our judgement of that difference. I like wilko a lot and I'm sorry if his nose has been put out of joint, but he like everyone else has to refrain from personal abuse.
I realise you can't have one rule for one and one rule for another. Just saying this was uncharacteristic on Wilko's part.
Quite. Which is probably why it's the first time he's had a rebuke, and probably why he thinks we don't do it all the time.
We do. If two people are going at it we tell them both to pack it in, if one person posts something abusive we warn just them.
I do sympathise with Wilko though as he is unfairly painted as a dull character on here, and having got to know him (a bit) through pm I like him a lot and don't think he is. I also hope he doesn't really throw the toys out here. He's better than that IMHO.
And it reeeeeally was a mild rebuke.

Oh God, we're not really going to do a lap of honour, are we? A lap of apology would be more appropriate.
Haha, and no doubt this site will overload with all the pschyological experts saying Gerrard's face means he's signing for Man City at 16.02 next Tuesday afternoon during a period of sunny spells and a temperature of 19 degrees

Not very promising from Ayala - races forward to head a ball off Lucas's forehead. Then loses the ball to Drogba.

At least he got back to prod the ball for a corner

if rafa goes I seriously hope he takes kuyt with him. kuyt is going to get a rude awakening if and when a new manager comes in.

kuyt = best defensive attacking player in the league

120 minutes of a semi final less that sixty hours ago may have something to do with it,

Why not - We're going to be a mess next season no matter what happens and Citeh will have every chance of being in Europe with a squad strong enough to win the league.

All without moving house
