Wow, what a brilliant first half. I didn't see that coming at all. Gerrard was brilliant in CM, Kuyt showing no rustiness at all after coming back from injury, and Torres... well, I knew (and have said) that he would be back to his best soon. But to do it against Chelsea, in such style... I didn't dare dream of that.
Credit to Hodgson too. He's set the team up to win this match, not grind out a draw, and we're reaping the rewards of that bravery. But the whole team just looks so much more committed, united and confident than before.
Fantastic. Let's keep it up. Maybe Gene's predicted scoreline might come true after all...

Also, it's easy to make this point now Nando is back, fit (which is questionable) and scoring but his abilities have never been in question on these boards. The chat about cashing in him was mainly when we were paying millions in interest payments and had no money for players coupled with the fact he was missing for large/crucial parts of the season.
