A very pleasing first half on balance. Dominated for a good 20 mins before Barca came back into it.

Could easily have scored 2-3 though. Lallana, Mane and Firmino were superb in applying pressure from the front. Mane's pace at times was terrifying. Been so long since we've had a wide player with that ability.

Coutinho has been pretty wasteful though.

Defence has held decently against the Barca attack so far; though it does seem that most of the Barca players are some games off peak fitness still.

I'd want more solidity in midfield though. Wijnaldum was pretty anonymous.

Thought Wijnaldum and Can started well, but then faded. Can's early pass for Clyne was sublime. Wijnaldum was pushing into the box at every opportunity, but not getting found yet.
