Gerrard was an embarrassment in that half. I've no doubt he's got the intelligence to play in that position but it's no good learning on the job in games like this.

Cissokho was just woeful, and yet everyone seemed obsessed with passing to the great clod-hopping clot.


And our passing was dreadful. I thought we were supposed to be breeding players who HATE to lose the ball yet time and time again they ignored simple passes in favour of impatient and inaccurate balls played into crowded areas. And we relieve pressure on the opposition rather than increase it. Even in games when we play well, it's criminal how often our players, with very little consideration of other options, pass the ball from an attacking position right back into their own half. There's usually no need for it and it's horrible.

The one good thing is Henderson is working his arse off for the team and that was such a clever backheel.

We also love passing the ball to players who are tightly marked. It's like a crime to pass to space.

I can't believe how often Cossokho keeps sprinting towards the right back on his own, as if he can win the fucking ball back, and inevitably having the ball pased behind him and leaving Kolo stranded. He's such utter wank.
Gerrard hasn't been able to trap or pass a ball, Coutinho's gone into wank mode, Johnson's below par as per, and Suarez is getting assaulted out there with fuck all protection from the ref.
