Liverpool v Tottenham Hotspur Match Thread

Spurs were better team overall for me...the last team that played us like that at Anfield was City, if Sissoko scores we would have been crying... Of course VVD did his part but... Again why is Klopp like a turtle when it comes to changing things?

I think Klopp is just too loyal to his players.

I know Salah scored but...... Its was so clear today the difference between the support Robertson gets and the support TAA gets.

Maybe you can say Mane is a freak Winget by Salah didn't have that great of a game, giving possession away and bad shooting judgements... If we get another forward maybe someone who can play on the right side with some defensive tenacity is required?

What happened to to Shaq?

Origi did well when he came on, nothing amazing but he was full of energy.

I actually thought Mo put in a massive shift today defensively - he was tracking back a lot and a thorn in Rose's side as he tried to push forward.
I'm just frustrated that until his goal - he couldn't hit a shot on target.
2v1 => PASS to MANE and game over ... but no.

Didn’t think that Mane was in any better position. In that position if he played a fwd pass to the runner and got it wrong, would have been bad so understand Mo taking the chance on in terms of percentages.

Yeah my first thought too was that Mo should have passed it but on second viewing, Mane didn't make a good enough run to be in a better goal scoring position.

Don't see it that way, lads... Mo releases Sadio in behind TA there and he's clean through. Just like early on, 3 mins in, he took a poor shot with players either side of him in better positions - His quest to score is hurting us, weekly. It hasn't cost us yet, but it's clear for all to see.

Actually Klopp needs to take him aside and tell him if he needs to score more then hen needs to pass it may be 30% of the time and may be slightly more than 50% especially when the goals are not coming...what he is going to do is becoming predictable and therefore far easier to defend.

10/10 for commitment..I never thought for one second that players weren't trying enough... Maybe a little complacent and nervous but it looked like we were trying our best... What did us in was Klopps Brexit midfield for 70 minutes.

Then midfield that contains our only EU27 midfielder is our Brexit midfield? Sound logic there mate.

Salah is on course to be the Liverpool player who scored 50 goals fastest. Of course he is eager to make history. I guess he curses that penalty he left to Bobby for his hat trick
