The way we played that game was a bit weird, first half I just could not understand the setup of our midfield, i think it had just Fabinio in it, all the others were pressed against their back line. Strange, but wonder if Klopp did not want our teaam doing a lot of running due to the heat.

Yeah. Midfield was very poor first half. So it might be that we pressed to high and noone did the Firmino job to help the midfield press. Result was that we were easily played through and no midfield cover.

Ox was shocking

I think that type of midfield (lack of creativity/ability to dribble forward with the ball) only works if TAA is on the pitch to help stitch the play together. So, if Gomez is in at RB, Oxlade/Keita or possibly Lallana needs to be in the midfield.

How much would we have won for winning the Community Shield?

4.5m is decent for a 1 off game
[article]Liverpool and Manchester City will each earn £1.25million competing in the Community Shield, according to the Manchester Evening News.[/article]
The only reason this one mattered more than most years, was because of the opposition was Man City.
Where does winning the Supercup fit in in terms of prestige from an LFC fan perspective

Wait , so do people actually care about this?

People on here write off the league cup each season as a nomark trophy but a one-match showpiece played in fucking istanbul in the first week of the season counts?

Of course people care,

We're now the super european champions.

I dont think its about what that exact trophy means for me, but more that it creates a winning culture. Winning breeds more success.

Bar Emerson's he couldn't have done much.

Maybe for Jorginho's one to make it 2-2, he kind of waited too long.
I thought he made a decent effort at the 3rd and 4th PKs. I also don't get some of the criticism I have seen. He has been with the team a week, has not had a pre-season. He's done very well, all things considered.

If Klopp replaced Shaq for Hendo, that game would have been in the bag in normal time. Don't know why Klopp doesn't show more faith in him?

Yes care very much...bigger audience and global shit and all. The game last night matters more.

Shaq will play against Southampton, otherwise there is something seriously wrong between them.
