It would appear it is clearing. I very much doubt it will end up postponed. But you are right Bristow, I would take the night off given the choice.

No way. I want this game to happen.

I hate games being postponed, even if we do have a shit team out

3 weeks plus out of the firing line allowing some rehab for our main men would be a bonus.
Plus I have a bad feeling about tonight. I can see a late defensive lapse again tonight, where Jerome actually controls the ball for once and scores, all whilst Pepe is blinded by the fog.

It looks a lot worse than it was for the Arsenal game. Plus the lights in the stadium can make it even worse.

I think the tests they used for the Arsenal game were 'can the linesman see totally across the pitch?' and also tested viewed from different areas of the stadium.

So who do we believe? Oncy, or Redshrek's source?

Personally I'll go with Oncy's. Lucas may not be a world beater, but I like him. I'd much prefer him in the side to playing with 10 men. I mean I know some on here have advocated just this, but I reckon Rafa will opt for 11.

He's going for humour - RedShrek only listed 10 players, forgetting to include Lucas.

Its a pretty wank team.

Two slow as fuck 'wingers,' one whos in poor form and the other making a comeback from injury. Benayoun who isn't the most consistent performer at the best of times, a pretty raw striker and a centre mid duo who struggle when the onus is on them to create. We could be in for a frustrating night against a side with 10 behind the ball and that nippy Benitez lad hoping to hit us on the counter.

If the game was to be called off and allow our injured lads an even longer break over the international break then it wouldn't be a disaster.

What's it like in Liverpool, lads? The fog is pretty thick here, bordering on how bad it was for the Arsenal game I reckon 🙁

Wasn't it the halfway line? The ref had to be able to see the goal(s) clearly? Same thing anyway, pretty much. I hope it's not called off *crosses everything*

I was a steward at that game. The ref got some of the stewards to stand in front of anfield road end and he went half way up th kop. If he could distinguish between the orange and yellow then the game would have gone ahead. He couldnt...

I've just been down the Docks which considering is by the river and really windy, is usually pretty fog free. It wasn't at all.

-crosses fingers-

We need to batter them tonight.

Shit. I thought Aquilani was a certain starter.
[/quote]

Really? The prematch talk from Rafa has all been about him not being fit enough, or not being match fit. Hopefully he'l give him 20 minutes at least, otherwise he's never going to get match fit.

Nando going for the operation then you reckon?

I wouldn't think so. The specialist in Spain said he needs 3 weeks rest. He's had nearly a week now, after the international break it will be almost 3. As much as I wish he was playing tonight, I think it's the right call leaving him out. Get him better so he can last 90 minutes at 100% in every game, not jut 60-70 minutes at 80% every game.

Probable Brum Team:

Hart

Carr, Dann, Johnson, Ridgewell;

Larsson, Bowyer, Carsley, McFadden;

Benitez, Jerome

any word on the likelihood of it being played yet? official word i mean, or has it not been mentioned anywhere?

if the officials were worried I guess they would have mentioned it by now as it was a big news story for the Arsenal game I believe?
