He's a proper Lovren, Schuurs. All the physical attributes, but keeps getting drawn all over the pitch, makes poor decisions and keeps diving in.

Schurrs looks alright but plays as if he’s a yard faster than he is. A lot of barelys and just abouts.

I think he's alright for a 21 year old. High potential imo.

He was lucky not to give away a pen before. Got beat by Jota, then lunged in from behind in the box. A good defender never has to make those kinds of challenges

Been waiting for that from Shuurs, he's been very confidently and aggressively dealing with Mane, it's been working for the most part, but it only takes one misjudgement against someone like Mane. Thats how we'll score btw, Mane will slip past Shuurs.

It's as if refs have passed around a message saying Mane dives non-stop, because in most games he gets knocked down and rarely gets anything for it. In this game he's immediately got three opponents flying in at him and until the booking it seemed as though they were at liberty to bundle him over whenever they wished.

Yeah, Shuurs have been getting in tight on Mane, who decided to try to flick it past him a couple of times instead.
That worked, and now it won't be so easy for Shuurs to decide what to do.
