Liverpool have confirmed they will face Celtic in a friendly at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on Saturday, August 10 (5.30pm kick-off).
It will be the first time the Reds have played the Scottish champions since the clubs met in Connecticut, USA in July 2004.
Billy Hogan, chief commercial officer at Liverpool FC, said: “We last played Celtic almost a decade ago so we are thrilled to get this event in our pre-season calendar.
“Both at Liverpool and Celtic, we are fortunate to have two of the most passionate fan bases in the world and this fixture in Dublin is a chance to bring them together once again.”

Game will probably be shit, but that near to the start of the season hopefully a fairly strong team will be put out. For €25 I'll more than likely be giving this a look.

Tickets for Liverpool's pre-season match with Celtic in Dublin will go on sale on Thursday, June 13 at 9.30am BST.

The game - which is being billed as the 'Dublin Decider' - takes place on Saturday, August 10.
It will be the first time since 1998 that Liverpool's first 11 have played in Ireland, while Celtic are returning to the Aviva Stadium having played there in 2011 in the Dublin Super Cup.
The match will be shown live in Irish, UK and international markets. Kick-off will be at 5pm.

That's my bleedin' wedding day and there will be 3 hardcore celtic fans at the wedding as wells quite a few LFC supporters. Gonna have to see if my mate (whose a techno wiz) can stream the game onto the TV in the hotel lounge area.

I cant fuc
You over in Vancouver Cerb?
Sorry I'm only replying to this now Dave. I'll be in Toronto. Is canuck an exclusive to Vancouver thing? I just thought it was a general slang term for all Canadians.

ANYHOOTER

Can't fucking believe I'm going to miss this.

Congratulations mate!

Everything's sorted; one of the Czech lads is going to get the match recorded in our "regular" bar in Zlin (it's called The Chelsea bar even though it has nothing to do with Chelsea FC). About 20 of us are going to Zlin (my girlfriends hometown) the day after the wedding and we'll all pile into the pub and watch the game (hopefully without knowing the score).

Congrats Pesam. About time you were chained to a life of servitude and misery like the rest of us.

Haha. Me, I'm still free as a bird, despite kind aunties hinting even now that I'm not safe even at my age.
That's impressive JJ but keep you're eyes wide open, danger lurks around every corner.....I never saw it coming!

Hahaha, in fairness she gives me a lot of space and am still allowed out on the piss at weekends (although that may change after August).

Can't go to this one. Working up North. Poxy.
The boy is gutted too. I s'pose I'll just have to go to an early season league game.

Someone's got to pick up all those paper plates on his apartment block roof.
Good memory Themn, the paper plates are a distant memory now and my apartment has been "womanised". I loved my minimalist theme and the fact that it was all white/cream coloured (funiture, walls, curtains, bedding etc) but now she's gone and introduced COLOUR - it's ok but i much preferred it my way :-(

Man, your tale of your lazy, bachelor life is one of the funniest things I've read on here.

All the best with your future.

The hockey team in Vancouver are called the Canucks.

God, Dublin will be messy that night out in town.
