Bendtner - he's been in impressive form for club and country for while now. And he is also much more suited to the lone striker role. Big, good in the air and brilliant at bringing the ball down and turning or playing others in

Wouldn't disagree, but in Van Persie's absence, with Bendtner in form and Eduardo a constant injury risk, they're even more likely to hang on to Bendtner than they are to Eduardo. In any case I doubt they'd sell Bendtner to us even when Van Persie's back.

It probably is bollocks, but I don't think people should dismiss the idea so lightly.
We are in a pretty desperate position, and come January it could be much worse. We don't have to like him, he knows the premiership, has quality, and just needs to keep fit when 'nando isn't, and he is affordable.
