But someone who has a interest in fashion would not see anything wrong with spending the extra money on an item of clothing they perceive to be nice and worth the money. The same way someone who has an interest in tech wouldn't see anything wrong with spending extra money on a higher spec gadget. I agree with you about the limited plus points to a pair of jeans. I think it's absurd to pay huge money on a pair of jeans.

But if I was to analyse a picture of some guy holding loads of different forms of electronics, telling you their brand, usual price, and making suggestions about better alternatives, and so on, lots of people would probably find it quite cringy.
