Firmino and salah look perfectly synchronised, Mane seems out in the cold in the way were playing in the moment, wouldve been nice to seem to him get a goal today.

A good game was had by all. I'm loving VVD - Calm, assured and commanding. And well.... Mo and 'The Flabby' one were sublime

Good professional performance. Southampton were probably one of the most lackluster teams we've met this season, but still. We didn't put ourselves under too much unnecessary pressure, VVD was a rock at the back with Matip and Karius had another good game with a couple of important saves. Salah and Firmino were brilliant.

I liked Karius performance today a lot. If he can play like that every week there will be not much to complain. We looked a lot more assured when we had the ball in our half. He was decisive with his distribution.

He still had a few weak punches that could have resulted in a goal on another day...but hope he can build on this performance.

It's always difficult to determine if they were muck or we just stopped them getting anywhere. Today I'd argue the latter.

Matip always looked dodgy but everyone else kept it simple and stopped them finding any space in the second half

Southampton looked as if they had given up the will to live in the second half, but they played well in the first half and looked likely to equalise, before Salah scored. So they did test us for a while.
