He looked quite handy off the bench in the world cup. Not at the level of Robben for example, but id say he is skillful enough and a quick player. I remember thinking id like to replace Babel with this guy.

Better than our current options on the wing, he will do ok I reckon. Good signing.
 
15 million euros must be an over valuation if hes out of favour at his current club?

The fact that he is out of favour also makes you wonder, hopefully we have watched him closely enough.

He was an integral member of the Netherlands World Cup team (even if coming off the bench more often than not) and is still young. Plus LFC are not going to get anyone on the cheap now.
 
I remember the Dutch fans going crazy cheering him on when he was brought on.

He did one lovely piece of skill and I was sold. He was their impact player from the bench and brought bags of pace and tricks with him.
 
I remember saying before that he is exactly the player that we all hoped Babel would be.



Let's hope in a few seasons time that we are not buying a player who is exactly what we had hoped Elia would be.
