He will miss ( taking into account the 14 day suspension for appeals) :

Man City (A) (league) This falls on day 14
Oldham (H) (FA Cup)
Man City (A) (League cup)
Stoke (home (league)
Bolton (A) (League)
Man city (H) (League cup)
Wolves (A) (League)
Spurs (H) League) 6th Feb 2012

All in all ,its only a month without Suarez - I think we can handle those fixtures without Suarez..

The last match is v United, like I joked about in the Suarez thread, was they delaying the statement to make sure it was included, and it fucking IS

I understand why he and the club will want to defend his reputation but i think it would be best overall if he just took the ban as is

I left school at 14 sonny, sorry my grandma isn't to your liking 😉

Lets be reminded that

Suarez is facing a separate charge from the FA over an alleged abusive hand gesture he made as he left the pitch following Liverpool's 1-0 defeat by Fulham on 5 December.

:'(

I could not disagree more.

Carroll will step up to the plate & we'll get the benefit of a revitalised Suarez to fire us home towards the end of the campaign.

#DESPERATELYSEEKINGSILVERLINING

We'll sign Rory Donnelly from Cliftonville for 100k (Ryan can pay that) and he will turn out to be the best value buy ever netting 20 goals before the end of the season.

Forget footy for a second - a man's reputation has been destroyed. We should just say 'ok' if we believe it's wrong?

On the contrary, I would say whatever was left of the FA's reputation has been destroyed.

Nobody is going to see it like that.
On pure footballing grounds I think it makes sense.
He may get a reduction of his ban by a couple of games but there is no way that he is going to get off altogether as that would be a complete admission of incompetence by The FA.
Under the current terms of the ban three of his games are in the cup, four if we win our 3rd round fa cup match.
so that is potentially four league games he misses.
It is a no brainer in football terms in my opinion.

From a moral perspective, there is an argument to be put to appeal the decision and defend his honour but for reasons said before the outcome ain't going to be that different one way or another i reckon.

suarez has to fight this, as it stands his reputation is in tatters. forget liverpool for a moment and think about the player.

You're forgetting that we can go to law if the FA appeal route proves fruitless, and I think it's absolutely vital that we do so.
I would prefer to see the findings of the FA before I agreed to such action JJ

In principle, so would I. In practice such internal appeal processes uphold their own parent organisation's original findings 99.9% of the time, so I'd lay a sizeable sum on the outcome of this one.
Absolutely JJ but you might find that the evidence is a little bit more compelling to convict that we would like to believe in the first place.
Time will hopefully tell
