Re: Why Liam Harker won't walk alone

I'll probably burst out crying if I see that on the TV.

Re: Why Liam Harker won't walk alone

Bless him and his family.

I'm a bit moisty eyed after reading that. I hope we can pull off a result for the lad.

Me too. Thoughts and prayers with Liam and his family. I really hope they show the banner, and hope he's still with us in order to see it.

Re: Why Liam Harker won't walk alone

I'd love it if his name was incorporated into some sort of chant and the commentators pick up on it, that and the banners would really give him some good spirit in his final hours/days

Re: Why Liam Harker won't walk alone

God bless you son.

I'm sure that Shanks will share some fantastic stories with you when you get there.

Re: Why Liam Harker won't walk alone

I'm so happy he's made it to today, was dreading reading a story saying he passed on these past couple of days

Re: Why Liam Harker won't walk alone

While the result is 'painful', I just am glad this lad saw something that few 'regular' fans will ever see, their name on the Kop. I hope he gets to see the next game ... and the next game ... and the next game ..........

YNWA Liam.

Re: Why Liam Harker won't walk alone

Yup, next stop, Stamford Bridge, Eh Liam!

I hope the lads and especially Riise do you proud!

You'll Never Walk Alone!

Well said Wizzy.

Thanks mate - even the term 'painful' is rather pathetic on my part considering what this lad is and has gone through. I would gladly lose to Chelski next week if it meant this lad could make a full recovery and support the boys for 65 more years ...

Nice sentiments Whiz.

Right on Whizram.

You're a star, mate.

I bet Liam is as pissed off as we all are tonight. 🙂

I think one or two fans could've done with returning to this thread a little sooner.

Needless to say, we should all be feeling very lucky this evening.

Yup its nigh on disgusting how a thread with the purpose of slating a football player can get as many replies as a post about Liam Harker.

Re: Why Liam Harker won't walk alone

Credit to ITV, who mentioned it and showed the pic before the start of the second half.

Re: Why Liam Harker won't walk alone

We got drawded...well....sort of beated.
I was disappointed for....hmmmm......15 minutes.
It's really not that important.
A 17 year old boy dying is important to him and his family.
If it was one of my kids...I think I'd top myself.
How a gang of millionaires kicking an inflated bag of leather around grass can bring the worse out in people is weird and I include myself in that.
I hope your heroes do you proud next week Liam and you are there to experience the joy.

Only heard about the lad when they showed the banner last night, and it's a right kick in the stomach to read here that he's fighting a lost battle.

I'm lost for words, but your post sums up my sentiments well.

Re: Why Liam Harker won't walk alone

Me mate of RAWK posted this so I'd thought I 'd post it here. I hope stuff like this is alright on here. If not aplogies and delete if ya wanna.

The family have been absolutely bowled over with everyone's support over the last week or so......really amazing.

Now we can make a difference for the future........

Liam's Dad is taking The Ben Nevis Challenge in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust in September this year.

He needs our help to raise money for this wonderful charity, so please whatever you can spare (however small) lets support Rueben in his quest.

Details of how to sponsor can be seen on this link -
http://www.staffords.co.uk/liam.htm

Circulate this link to as many people as possible please ladies and gents.....Liam's life and subsequent illness will have not been in vain.

Many thanks to anyone who has already sponsored Rueben

You'll Never Walk Alone Rueben.
