Who on here uses it?

Has anyone managed to get tickets to any games this year?

For those that do not use it the club changed the system since Henry took over from selling tickets individually approx. a month before the game to this new system where there are two 'windows'. Tickets go on sale for all home games up until 1st Jan. So whereas before if you were unlucky for one match you could try your hand at a different match when they came on sale. But, with this new system, once you’re at the front of the queue you can stock up on EVERY game, which of course people do. Fair play to them, I would do the same in the same situation if I could afford that financial outlay. The second 'window' falls nicely in December, so if you do want to attend so games in the second half of the season you're forced to fit payment in around Christmas.

I attended 5 League games last year so didn't have any priority as such other that what being a member is supposed to provide. So this morning I got up at 8:15 to try and get tickets. Surprise Surprise, the website was down! So I spent 45 mins or so refreshing until it came back up. Then, I get told I probably have to wait 2 hours. Yeah cheers. Great way to spend a day off. I dont ever remember having to wait that long or anything like it with the old system.

When I was at the front of the queue, I got booted out immediately and asked to queue for 2 hours again. Luckily, I had dialled into my work machine so I was ‘in’ on that one and started looking for tickets.

I managed to get 2 Newcastle tickets and spent no more than 2 mins checking if I could get any others – I couldn’t. When I went to pay these were “now unavailable” and I need to contact the club. WTF?

So for my £30 I have a shitty scalf, a pen (same one I got last year) and a little badge. But fuck all in the way of tickets.

Does anyone else use this method to get tickets? If so how have you got on?

I understand why the club does it this way, as it gets the money in early and if we do happen to have a shit season the tickets are still sold, but has anyone else struggled? Has anyone else complained?

I used it today to buy two tickets for the Fulham game.

It went quite smoothly. No complaints here.

BTW is it possible to give the ticket bought with one's members card to another person?

You can only buy one ticket per membership card but you can link other membership cards to your account and buy tickets on them as well, up to four at a time I think.

As per the other thread I got the tickets that I wanted as well with only a little stress.

Didn't know this was this morning.

I was going to try pick up some Fulham tickets.

@ OP, yeah the system can be a nightmare at times. I've spent mornings re freshing the online portal and spent ages on hold on the phones trying to get sorted. Other times I've logged in right away and had no problems. It's hit and miss.

The count uses it too. Maybe he can shed some light on this mornings activity.

I linked my son's membership card to my account and bought two tickets - one on mine and one on his. One of the cards is for my mate. Is there any problem if I give my son's ticket to him?

No problem I think as I do that all the time.
Unless it was an adult and child ticket you bought and your brother isn't a child.

Correct me if I am wrong ... there is no ticket as such anymore, right? So you have to bring the membership cards that you used for the purchase & they get you in.

Thats right isnt it?

Yes, it is Tom.
Well for practically all matches it is.
I think tickets may still get issued for friendly matches, even if you are a season ticket/membership card holder.
