LFC SOLD to NESV.

Re: LFC Sold to NESV (RBS WIN COURT RULING - CONFIRMED)

Fuck, I have to go to bed because of a job interview tomorrow morning, but the suspence is killing me. Back to F5F5F5F5F5F5F5. Can't.turn.off.pc.

Re: LFC Sold to NESV (RBS WIN COURT RULING - CONFIRMED)

Havent the greedy fuckheads registered kop holdings on Cayman for tax issues?

Re: LFC Sold to NESV (RBS WIN COURT RULING - CONFIRMED)

I for one just want to thank Avvy for the insightful law stuff - It's very much appreciated mate 8)

Re: LFC Sold to NESV (RBS WIN COURT RULING - CONFIRMED)

The thing that worries me is that they clearly didn't have a leg to stand in Court today.

So why on Earth would they think they can get back in the game via a US court unless there was some genuine chance of whatever they want coming about ?

so the holding company is based in delaware?

an american is trying to take over from an american?

I can't think of any other hold an american court can have over the club
that's what i was thinking. if the ultimate parent co. is registered in delaware - ie that's where H&G's shareholding is - then maybe an american court could have jurisdiction. does anyone know what the group structure looks like?

but, surely this couldn't have been overlooked by our lawyers, and RBS's lawyers, right? surely?

Re: LFC Sold to NESV (RBS WIN COURT RULING - CONFIRMED)

Doesn't that piece about kop holding simply say the offer is subject to uk law?

Not necessarily the company itself.

Yep, but they have got a temporary injunction with the full hearing not until the 25th oct, meaning admin here we come. If it happens.

Re: LFC Sold to NESV (RBS WIN COURT RULING - CONFIRMED)

I asked this before and it didn't garner much interest but

If a vast quantity of people were to club together to pay a professional to eliminate a problem, but the professional went ahead and used an illegal method to do that without permission, would the courts prosecute everyone involved (aka the hirers)? Surely if there were enough people it would be too much time and effort...

The reason I'm asking is because I think there are rats in my attic and I'm thinking of asking the next door neighbours if they would club together to raise the money to eliminate them, but the best pest control officer in town once used illegal chemicals and I'm scared of getting in trouble.

What I want to know is, who's going to start against Everton.
Two things.
1)A texas 'district' court cannot veto a sale of a company in fucking Delaware.
2)Kop holdings was a company set up to leverage the sale of our club against with loans. If that means so much to fat mongo cunt Hicks he can keep Kop holdings. We'll sell 'The actual club'

Read it Avvy, read it !
Yeah, that was what I saw last week.

Kop Holdings Litd is a UK registered company, but if the holding company is registered in the US then it may be able to argue jurisdiction.

It's still just a matter of delaying though.

Even if the cunt can successfully prove jurisdiction MAY vests in the US, he's already waived that jurisdiction by filing his own action in the UK.

Re: LFC Sold to NESV (RBS WIN COURT RULING - CONFIRMED)

Following the successful conclusion of High Court proceedings today, the Boards of Directors of Kop Football and Kop Holdings met tonight and resolved to complete the sale of Liverpool FC to New England Sports Ventures.

Regretably, Thomas Hicks and George Gillett have tonight obtained a Temporary Restraining Order from a Texas District Court against the independent directors, Royal Bank of Scotland PLC and NESV to prevent the transaction being completed.

The independent directors consider the restraining order to be unwarranted and damaging and will move as swiftly as possible to seek to have it removed.

A further statement will be made in due course

Fuck, I don't think I've EVER intentionally wished a swift heart attack on anyone, but Hicks has made me change my mind. Just fucking drop you fat cunt.

Saying that, I also want to see the fucking cunt on his knees, begging to anyone and everyone because he had lost his last cent.

I'll assist you with the knots Tom, you just got to take the plunge.

Cheers,mate...a lot of is just guesswork though 🙁

The good news is that we've appointed very good lawyers, who should have a lot to say in the morning.

Cheer up, everyone...we'll get through this.

It is incredible that Tom Hicks' ill-judged email and his subsequent resignation from the board served ultimately to leave H&G in a position where they had lost the balance of power in the boardroom. With hindsight that was an email exchange of historic importance for LFC.

EDIT: Great minds think alike FFF.
Hicks and Gillett didn´t lose the power until three months later when RBS bent them over.

Re: LFC Sold to NESV (RBS WIN COURT RULING - CONFIRMED)

SSN statement: Liverpool have agreed sale with NESV but that the restraining order is unwarranted and they will try to overcome it ASAP.

They can't complete the sale until they've dealt with the restraining order.

Re: LFC Sold to NESV (RBS WIN COURT RULING - CONFIRMED)

Surely RBS will veto the administration order for a few days? Its not in their interests to put Kop Holdings into Admin and potentially drive off NESV surely?

Fuck I have to fucking WORK tomorrow (although I did today allegedly)
