LFC Asian Tour - MOVE YER ARSES!

Re: LFC Asian Tour

I am seriously thinking of going and getting my two sons to come along as well. I will get them to book us the tickets.

The tickets at RM58 is affordable. Those grandstand, A & B seats are not that good a seats either because Bkt Jalil Stadium is a running track. Makes no difference where we seated actually. It is a 80,000 + seater stadium. So I think getting tickets should not be an issue.

Air Asia is costing me RM320 plus for return airfares, cheapest at the moment! Looking for bargains hopefully.

Q & You must lay out a mamak stall tea special for all of us who fly in.

Re: LFC Asian Tour

Which part of Malaysia are you at Mike?

I might need you guys to help me get tickets.

Re: LFC Asian Tour

I've bought the RM 108 tickets yesterday but they've ran out of training passes. Although I have been told that you will still be able to get the training passes from Ticketpro's counter at OU.

Re: LFC Asian Tour

I am from Kota Kinabalu D. You might be able to buy the tickets online. Have a look at the site. If you are Std Chart customers you might get it earlier.

Mike's in KK; but I suspect he coud get tickets online from Standard Chartered.

That might be the most practical method, Danny...if you've got a Stanchart card.

I don't however.

TO be honest I have no idea whether I'm going although I probably will..Things are a bit messed up for me now.

Whatever shit is happening right now I know I can't miss this, not on my own turf..

Singapore did a good job hosting the last one, but to be honest Profitable Group did a pathetic job with tickets..huge swathes of Kallang were empty, and I hope Stanchart isnt as amateurish..If they do a good job Bukit Jalil is going to have 80,000 fans; 97% of whom will be supporting Liverpool with the balance made up of Mancs wearing Malaysian colours and T-shirts poking fun at '19'.

The next day will have these same Manc dickheads condemining Malaysians for unpatriotically supporting a foreign side conveniently forgetting the Lord of the Dickheads himself our beloved Prime Minister making a public spectacle of himself last week watching Barca embarass his team.

Re: LFC Asian Tour

Looking like I'll have to pass, but if things change in the next few days I'll let you know

Re: LFC Asian Tour

I can't be sure if I can and I think by the time I can, the tickets would've been snapped up. Deliberating on whether to get a ticket first and offload it if I cant make it. >_<

Re: LFC Asian Tour

Alright cool, will probably just get it here. Not too sure how the exchange rate will work out and all.

Binny, July 16 is a Saturday man! Dont tell me you have to work that day?

My plan is to get a bus out of Singapore on Friday night and reach KL on Saturday morning. Upon reaching will check into a hotel, have a nap then make my way to the stadium. Crappy start time though (545pm!). Check out on Sunday and go back on the day. Total damage seems to be about SGD200, excluding tickets.

Re: LFC Asian Tour

It depends on where your bus gets off; I think the main bus station in Puduraya is still closed but someone could check.

If your bus gets off there I'd recommend staying in that area ie center of town and travel by train to the stadium.

Lots of hotels there, but it's a bit dodgy.

I'd love to put you up, but considering I don't know if I'll have a roof over my head then I think it's not a very good idea.

Another option would be to stay in the Sunway area; more pricy but a much better area.

If you do that then you'd need to use cabs to get to the stadium and back.

As for staying in the Bukit Jalil area itself, there are very few options for hotels, and the closest I can think of would be Sri Petaling..there are a few hotels. But I would mak that my last resort.

Re: LFC Asian Tour

Thanks for the info Avvy, and no worries about being unable to put me up. I wouldnt want to inconvenience you in any way! I might stay at Corus hotel which is near KLCC and take the LRT to Bukit Jalil.

Actually I might not even stay in KL. If finances are an issue I might just go home immediately after the match! Only thing I'm afraid of is if I take a later bus to KL I might get stuck in a jam and miss the match. 🙁

Re: LFC Asian Tour

Keep me posted D; things might be different in a months time.

(They certainly were for me a month ago).

It's no inconvenience at all; if I can I definitely will.

Right, you're taking the Aeroline to Corus.

Sorry, I stupidly assumed you'd be going to Puduraya.

OK, that's workable...if you're staying at Corus bear in mind you'll be taking 2 trains - from KLCC to Masjid Jamek and then change trains at Masjid Jamek and head to Bukit Jalil.

I wouldnt worry too much about directions, there should be loads of red shirts around.

But if you're doing that you could also consider taking the Aeroline to Sunway..it's a lot closer to Bukit Jalil and you wouldnt be dependent on the train..you could look at hotel prices and compare?..the only poblem with that is of course you'd be travelling by cab and will have to risk the traffic jams.

The potential traffic jam is hard to gauge though, my guess is that the roads are going to be jammed with a Singaporean Red Army 8)

So cheap? How's the ticket sales going? I was taking into consideration the expenses and planning.

Re: LFC Asian Tour

Yes the majority are rm58 and some at rm68 and rm108. After that is rm388! Really cheap for Singaporeans. I remember going to singapore for s$88 in 2009

Considering Y1 pt up the web page with all the details a few posts before yours, you're not exactly living up to your name, Binny ;D

Sales are apparently pretty good, but I do see problems ahead..80,000 tickets being handled by organisations with very little experience in this sort of thing spells trouble.

Hopefully they work it out.

Standard Chartered credit card holders get dibs on training passes, and apaprently they're all sold out already.

Re: LFC Asian Tour

Right, I'd be glad to help get tickets but unfortunately am a bit tight on quid at the moment. If there's anything else I can help, just PM me and I hope I'll be able to help.

Really hope everyone without a StanChart account manages to get a ticket. Was selling real fast last week. The atmosphere won't disappoint, I can guarantee that.

I've got a friend trying to get me a ticket, Q..have you got yours yet?

It should be easier for those in LSCM.

Luckily got hold of the last one left from a mate. His mate rove all the way from JB and got 50 RM68 ticks with training passes. Will see if there's any free left as they'll be flying n from Sabah on Saturday but don't hope on it.

Re: LFC Asian Tour

Unless I miss my guess no one knows how many tickets have been sold, and how many are left.

There is no chance 80,000 tickets have been sold out in the past 3 days.

Keep me posted if you hear of anthing; my friend is in the LSCM too.

How many tickets are LSCM selling?

Is your friend buying those for himself?

Re: LFC Asian Tour

Not sure how much exactly , but they seem sorted quick. When you comin back Av? I wonder if Ong's coming to this. Those days back on KT were the dogs!

Re: LFC Asian Tour

Dont know exactly, but I'll definitely be home when the game takes place so I'm trying to get a ticket if I can.

I suspect Ong will make this if he can, though it might not be so easy since his wife and kid are back in Penang.

I'm actually getting very annoyed with all these stories about tickets selling out fast, if that's true that might mean those groups with access to tickets are touting.

Re: LFC Asian Tour

I better go down to those addresses posted for Kota Kinabalu to buy a ticket or two! Problem is I don't know what shops those are because it is company name not shop name!

Re: LFC Asian Tour

Ha, thks Avvy and Y1. Didn't really give the details a good look cos was optimistic of my chances of making it. Shall check out how the tickets sale is going on over here. DHSC, are you confirmed going?
