I don't think Klopp wanted to use Nunez as much as he has this season, he wanted to slow play his development. Seeing him regularly could be used to argue on both sides of that. He was quite effective as a sub.

I'd rather see Nunez, honestly, but I'm not struggling to fathom how he could be benched either.
