Would not mind if we raided Leicester like we did Southampton and take a few of their players.
Demarai Gray looks a real prospect. Vardy at 30 if available for £20m-ish is surely worth a punt. Kasper Schmeichell despite reservations is huge improvement on what we have.

Demarai Gray sounds like something Red Astaire would tell us is his favourite tea.

Mahrez is surely the one worth spending money on. Talent-wise he is in a different league to all of his teammates.

Talent is there - but he's really struggled this year to match last year's effort (forget goals and assists). Maybe that has to do with Vardy's struggles, or not having someone to protect him like Kante, but if you've 'made it' and the effort goes, it's a worrying sign.

Disagree with that, he's come alive again under Shakespeare.

Definitely ... but where was it under he manager who guided him to becoming a player that Barca supposedly wanted? Where was the effort then?

You could throw that at every single Leicester player. Shakespeare appears to have gone back to the model they used last season,

Ranieri went back to Tinkerman mode. I.e. 3 at the back, two banks of 4 etc etc.

Perhaps Marhez is a good player in a certain system, and isn't intelligent enough to adapt. The effort for me was always there. Just no end product until the sacking.

Was he really tinkering that much?

Whenever I watched them, the Kasper - same back 4 - DM + drinkwater were always there ... Oh well, I'd rather we get someone else but better him than Ahmed Musa!~ 🙂

Wouldn't Mahrez be playing in the same position Mané is? On the right wing that is.

I've seen Gray play twice this year and he caught my attention both times for good and bad reasons.

He looks great on the ball and dangerous when shooting but he strikes me as being entirely predictable - he cuts inside at every opportunity and doesn't score enough to try it every single time.

I'd like to see him play wide right a bit to see what he does down the outside of a full back.
