I take it the reporter of this piece isn't a Liverpool fan.........
Robbie Fowler scored on his first outing for North Queensland Fury - but it wasn't his finish that caught the eye.
The Liverpool legend, who moved to Australia in February, tucked away a penalty in the 2-1 friendly defeat to Wolves.
Yet, it was Fowler's bloated figure that really got fans talking. The veteran striker was clearly out of shape as he pulled on the Fury shirt for the first time.
Fowler has battled hip and groin injuries since touching down in Australia but appears to have no problems in finding the fridge.
Evoking memories of other Liverpool lard lovers such as Jan Molby and Neil Ruddock, the 34-year-old at least had the decency to admit: 'Obviously in terms of fitness
I'll love 'god' until the day I die, I always wished that he accomplished more with us.........would've loved a photo with him cara, stevie and the cup in istanbul, and would've loved him to play by torres side to usher in a new era like rush did with robbie. A true legend!
With all the money he has made in football and outsid, still playing football for the love of the game.
Unbelieveable player, that double against UTD 🙂. Unique a talent in era when strikers were different types and to think he was English.
People go on about Rafa not treating certain players as they deserved but Fowler got the one he deserved when he came back.

I know but the way he played he just didn't seem very English 😉 around. Below average height but with the touch and class of Romario. Maybe I'm biased since I remember him starting out in a average Souness side.
