Ok.

Anyway, I really find it strange that we're loaning him out. Think he would have made a difference for us now that Mané is out.

Lets just hope he does well so that we can get some sort of fee for him this summer.

Klopp must have viewed him in training and deemed him completely hopeless or his attitude is appalling. Thats the only real conclusion we can draw from it. The positive from it is Hull is a better move for him. I hope be does well and convinces Klopp to try him but the writing looks very much on the wall for Markovic.

We are a bit shit without Mane but we're not utterly useless yet.

I don't think it's really a case of his training or his attitude, he's always seemed to have a good attitude to me, he's just incredibly lightweight even if he probably did learn alot more about the defensive side of things by playing wingback a few times.

He did ok in that clip, kept it simple but the pass for the goal and the through ball late on were both excellent. That's not something he ever really showed with us, not enough to warrant him a place as a playmaker anyway, he never seemed to have the pace to play wide, nor the vision to play central.

It's all speculation but Klopp has been very willing to give players chances at any opportunity possible. Today being a fine example. Markovic hasnt had that under Klopp so it makes me think there's something more to it than his playing limitations.

Agree. Maybe I'm making too much of this, but I can't help reflecting also that Klopp's right-hand man Buvac is also Serbian and must have had an input into any decision-making.

[article]Upon arriving at the KCOM Stadium last week Lazar Markovic confidently vowed to make his "actions speak louder than words" during his loan spell with Hull City.

The statement revealed a man with a point to prove in the Premier League, hungry to silence the sceptics that have grown in number since making a £20m move to Liverpool in 2014.

City ought to have signed a loan man brimming with motivation but an inauspicious start soon undermined that at Craven Cottage.

Three days after making his debut as a substitute in the EFL Cup semi-final second leg against Manchester United, Markovic's first start for the Tigers was instantly forgettable.

Perhaps he could be forgiven for feeling rusty after a drab end to his time with Sporting Lisbon but it was the Serbian's attitude that did not immediately endear him to the 1,000 or so travelling fans.

Nor to Sam Clucas. On more than one occasion City's midfielder appeared unhappy with the efforts of his new team-mate. One obvious pass into space during the first half did not inspire Markovic to move a muscle.

Up against Fulham's outstanding young left-back Ryan Sessegnon, Markovic merely went through the motions. At no stage in the 90 minutes did he look like a man to take City into the FA Cup fifth round or inspire the fight for Premier League survival.

City boss Marco Silva cannot afford to be patient with Markovic after selling Robert Snodgrass on Friday so this lethargic debut will have been a concern. Silva needs men to hit the ground running, not ineffective passengers.

Markovic's slack work-rate did little to help out Omar Elabdellaoui either.

The fellow January arrival was given a torrid afternoon by Sessegnon but was never able to count on Markovic for support. Adama Diomande, by contrast, was regularly on hand to assist Andy Robertson on the opposite side.

Silva was asked afterwards if Markovic will need time to settle into life with a fourth new club in two and a half years but he would only group the latest arrival in with the rest of the squad.

"Lazar is one player like the others, he needs to understand what we want," said a diplomatic Silva. "The other players have worked with me for 22 days to see what I want.

"It is not only Lazar, all the players need time to understand what we want. I know we don't have a lot but after this week, with two games again, we have a full week to work and prepare for games. Our team will improve."

Markovic's return to English football with City will either make or break his ambitions of becoming a Premier League star but a full debut did not carry much promise of a stalling career being revived at the KCOM Stadium.[/article]
