I'd agree with that. The Rangers' players did respond well, but it suited Gerrard being a big fish in a small pond because he's less likely to find rivals to his ego, at least over the short term. I think he'll need to find some humility and improve his people skills if he wants to broaden his horizons.He clearly did wonders motivating the Rangers' players – they were suddenly very tough to beat even by technically superior teams in Europe. I think he is a very similar type to Blokhin (former Dynamo Kyiv Ballon d'Or winner who became the Ukraine national team coach) – a difficult personality, but can do very well in a limited type of a job.
