I'm watching the Holland - Sweden game. Kuyt just twisted his ankle it looked bad. Landed awkwardly on his right foot after a challenge.
Fortunately he didn't need to be stretchered off. He wanted to continue but the doctors wouldn't let him. He'll probably feel the pain as soon as his adrenaline drops.
Strained ligaments, might need a week off.

He'll play. 5 days is more than enough rest for a twisted ankle if there isn't any ligament damage.

There may be ligament damage, so he'll just have to grow new ligaments. Knowing Kuyt I think he'll be able to do it within the week. Balls will be bouncing 6 feet off his invincible body parts in no time.

Don't you worry guys Poulsen's still fit and running for Denmark.

Good one KHL.

Kuyt doesn't get injured for years then two come in the space of a few months.

Hopefully he'll shake it off for Sunday. He has had some big games in the derby in recent years.

He's only been playing at 40 percent.

He's been shit anyway.

We should try out Kelly and Johnson together, but the reality is Maxi.

From soccernet.com:

In a further blow for Roy Hodgson, defender Daniel Agger had to come off in the first half of Denmark's clash with Cyprus, throwing his comeback from a groin problem in doubt ahead of the weekend's crucial Merseyside derby against Everton.

Dutch forward Kuyt was taken to hospital in an ambulance after landing awkwardly following an aerial challenge in the first half. Netherlands coach Bert van Marwijk said he feared the injury was "serious" and that initial predictions forecasted a long time on the sidelines for Kuyt.

terrible news. he isnt of the standard you want these days, but then who in our squad is.
as poor as he has been we still need him desperately.

It's amazing isn't it? The Cunt Twins never get injuries, and the one decent player we do have that is also indestructible gets crocked on international duty.

Still, there's always Maxi-Pad. With so many cunts in the team, we might need him.

Lucas is still fit though so we should count our blessings.

Lucas is a super villian, like Ultro. Completely impervious to harm and danger. Indestructo.

Because the Danish coach is a dick, and so is Agger for agreeing to play

Agger's got a history of claiming himself fit to play even though his legs are about to fall off.

Can I just say however that the injury from last night wasn't about his groin or back. He got a kick on his thigh during training a few days back and when he then received another blow on that particular area during the Cyprus game he limped off.

He'll be alright come Sunday.
