Kolo - what a star.

He is clearly aware that his brother comes across as a complete tool, but he loves him anyway, because he loves everyone.

Yep. Part of it is down to his gratitude to the club for reviving his career, but even that is a sign of the guy's essential decency. On the field he's had his rocky moments but doesn't get enough credit for a fair few decent games as well. I'd like to think we could find some way of making use of him when his playing career finishes.

Hes clearly the sort of guy who loves the game and never sees it as a job. Good on him, we have been critical of him at times but hes the sort of character that a club needs

In fairness to Kolo he was superb at the start of the 13/14 season until he got injured and then had that poor moment against West Brom and his confidence and reputation took an unfair nosedive. I remember him being in people's top 3 in the MOTM threads in the first half a dozen games when we badly needed him due to injuries. He's hung around and generally speaking has been solid on the pitch and a model pro off who obviously loves the club and is a superb influence on everyone in training both youth coming through and senior pros alike,

I have huge love and respect for him. He could have come here after Arsenal and city and sat on his arse and put in zero effort and picked up and easy pay cheque but he never seems to give less than 100% in every situation

He had two mistakes that cost us goals that I can think of. One was a fairly unlucky og in a game we won anyway and the other against West Brom. You can say that those dropped points cost us in the end, but you could say that about a lot of games along the way in 13/14. I think overall he's done ok, especially for somebody singed for free. He seems really sound too.

I expect you'd normally have to pay good money for that. 😉

He reckons he is a decent car salesman?
