Has there been any further news about this?

RAWK is pretty keen on this, and apparently there's an email from Steve Rotheram to someone on there trying to gain support from more MP's, so if you'd like to send a short email to your MP asking him or her to support the Early Day Motion with your reasons why then you could check on

www.findyourmp.parliament.uk

I know many on here view these things as bullshit; but the only way to deal with that is either to abolish them altogether (which probably isnt a bad idea but isnt going to happen) or trying to make sure that more deserving people are honoured (which migh happen)

I've already emailed er, my MP (athough technically she isnt really MY MP :-[ )

I'm not ashamed to admit that I really really hope this happens.
 
If he doesnt get one now, he will NEVER get it.

I was speaking to a friend the other day and he said that many MPs simply don't sign any EDMs, no matter what they are, because they are generally considered to be a total waste of time.

I know lots on here are very dismissive of these things; but coming from a country where titles are routinely bought and sold, I was hoping that there were still some places where recognition for great service was seen.

It probably doesnt mean much to many, but it meant something to me.

I'll still thank her for writing me a letter though.

I was surprised to get a letter from the House of Commons though; maybe I was secretly hoping the PM wanted me to stay here longer.

Thanks, Q..that sounds good, though I'm not looking forward to the important national issues that matter in Malaysia namely who's having sex with whatever farm animal.
