"Don't get me started "

Please, tell me, based on tonight's game what they did wrong

I don't want two 20 million pound attacking players who "didn't do anything wrong". If that's the best you can give them, then I really don't need to keep typing do I?
Why mention him Ryan?

Why not Dirk for doing fuck all, Suarez for being a moany cunt, Jay's idiocy, Bellamy's lack of impact
Because Dirk, Suarez, and Bellamy have all done something for this club. And I wasn't singling him out, I was mostly attributing blame on Dalglish - where naturally, most of the blame should lie.

It kind of is Kenny's fault, but not totally.

It's not Kenny's fault that our strikers couldn't hit a cow's arse with a truckload of banjo's. It's not Kenny's fault Reina dropped a clanger.
Its TOTALLY Kennys fault when the most proven of our 'strikers' in recent months is STILL on the bench

He sanctioned 35M on our fucking striker.

Which as I've pointed out before - is the same price as Spurs' front 6.

It's Kenny's fault Carroll played
It's his fault maxi didn't
It's hid fault glen played
It's his fault players weren't playing in their best positions

Well yeah. (and Oncy)

£35m could have been spent better elsewhere, we all agree.

The amount of chances we create from all over the park should be yielding more goals, though. Some of it's poor finishing rather than poor tactics.

And it's his fault for spending the transfer bill of a top 2 club and having us in 7th.

Hang on.

Yes the selection was strange. But that's a fucking a penalty to us (no guarantee we'd score it though) and arguably a red card for Senderos. Why is it a yellow card for Bellamy because he won the ball and then had the tumerity to have Dempsey offer him out and shove his face into his.

And how for the love of fucking god is that a red card. Their player bottled the tackle, both of Jay's feet were on the ground and he won the fucking ball!

So if those decisions, which should have gone our way, did, the story would be fucking different. There's no fucking denying it, and that's whether Maxi should have started or not.

By the end of the tackle speo was doing a Dropkick like

I didn't think the Adam thing was a pen

Me neither, It was outside the box so I can't understand why people are on that it was a pen?

f*ck all the excuses and sh*t. We had it coming - you don't put your chances away you always run the risk of losing the game like we did today. Remember all these missed oppertunities under Uncle Roy Evans - all pretty nice football but never clinical enough to put the f*cking ball behind the net, and then when we did in games some cock at the back let goals in.

Because we need to find a scapegoat.

I want to know what cunt let all these fucking goats out

bet it was johnson

Go and fuck yourself Ryan. I don't know who the fuck you think you are sometimes.
We had several very good reasons to cry foul tonight on very poor, and critical refereeing decisions, all of which had a very strong chance of affecting the outcome. It's not a matter of being like fucking Everton at all you cunt.
If we don't play well, I am the first to say so, if we play well and lose fair and square, I take it on the chin, and if we don't play well and we do win, I will own up to that too, it's about being fucking honest.
If I see a game where the ref had a stinker and it looks like it costs us, I have as much right as anyone to be upset about it as anyone, and not have some sanctimonious twat blurting on about team selection.
The facts are Senderos was a very lucky bunny to still be on the pitch for two yellow cards, let alone the debate about preventing a goal scoring opportunity.
Spearing in many other circumstances would not have had a red card
Suarez was on-side when he had a brilliant goal dis-allowed
I am still not convinced the actual challenge that felled Adam was not on the line
Dempsey to was lucky to still be on the pitch.
It was a pretty finely balanced game and a reverse in anyone of those decisions would have changed the result significantly.

It wasn't a pen.

The red card was a joke.

Bellamy's yellow was a joke as well. Maybe if he was Nani he'd have gone down (he had two opportunities within seconds of each other) and Dempsey would have gone. but he did the right thing.

I don't think the sending off made much of a difference. The game was always the odd chance here and there. Sadly for a key moment, Johnson was awful, as was Reina (who was excellent until then).

Loser's attitude.

This thread is about the incompetence of Kevin Friend. If you want to express your views about team selection and individual players' performances, find a suitable thread to do so. Don't bugger up this one.

The goal should have stood, I don't think it should have been a red cardbut I can see why it was given. Bellamy should have dived to get Dempsey sent off. It's not nice, but Ronaldo would have done it. So would have Suarez, I bet.

Other than that we were to blame for not taking our chances. That foul is outside the area and he's not the last man. He should however have been sent off later on for hauling Carroll down off the ball.

It wasn't a good performance from the ref (it looks like the ref's have been briefed to give Suarez nothing) but it's not WHY we lost.

Is it bollocks. We've made our own mistakes at times this season and have to put them right, BUT they should not have cost us the game and wouldn't have done if the referee had been halfway competent.

We should have won the match despite the ineptness of the referee.

However, anyone who looked at that match last night and says the referee didnt influence the result is just plain stupid.

Dempsey headbutted Bellamy yet both get a yellow and Dempsey goes on to score the winner. Suarez had a perfect goal disallowed. Senderos should have been yellowed carded twice.

At the very least he took the draw off us. And if that opinion make me a loser in others eyes, then fine.

I always think Friend looks like someone who knows he's out of his depth. There's a bit of fear in his face. He made some shocking decisions yesterday. The self-flagellation that such defeats inspires among fans always ensures that incompetant refs get away with it because criticising them is 'just an excuse'. Well, he would have had a shocker even if we'd won the damn thing. He was awful.

I would rather have the premiership officiated by a gang of old skool Sunday league refs - the type who would come over before the game to warn you that they wouldn't stand for any foul language or back chat - than the shite we have to put up with. I'm sick of seeing Dermot Gallagher on sky banging on about interpretation and 'it depends how the ref has seen the incident'. The refs are ruining games week after week and we never get any explanations apart from the occasional comment from a manager to say the ref phoned him to apologise. That means fuck all - the same ref is going to be back the following Saturday making the same stupid decisions.

When a manager is asked by the FA to explain their comments after criticising a ref, they should just say point out they are in charge of a multi-million pound operation and you had the nerve to send some feckless and witless idiot to referee the game.

God help us if goal line technology is approved.

Even the guy on TalkSpit previewing the game said he's terrible. Maybe dross like he and Atkinson are now reffing at the highest level because the authorities simply don't have the numbers to choose from any more.

I'm watching the Match and now the After Match phone in, I didn't realise Kevin Friend pulled Suarez to one side and said "Stay on your feet" ......

The guys are talking about it now on the programme

As a very occasionally poster and even more occasionally actually being able to watch a match live, I wanted to post last night about the ref, but decided to wait until this morning and maybe get some perspective, but having read this thread and still fuming about his performance, I have got to say my piece.

Why was Craig Bellamy booked, he makes an minor challenge on Dempsey, Dempsey goes fucking nuts, ranting and raving in his face, which Bellamy does not react to and in fact smiles at, as some have said he could have dived to the floor, Rivaldo like, and Dempsey would have probably gone, but instead he gets booked for fucks know what.
The Charlie Adam penalty I have only watched as they showed on Sky last night, whilst Sendoros dives in from outside the box it looked to me like he connected with Charlie in the box, so why isn't that a penalty?
The sending off, Jay connects cleanly with the ball well away from the Fulham player, doesn't change the angle of feet, doesn't try to connect with the player, doesn't actually hit the player that hard, beyond tucking his legs up his midget arse in the millisecond after he connects with the ball, what else is he supposed to do? If that is a sending off offence most games will end up several players down.
Those were the three main incidents, but beyond that Suarez got fuck all because of his 'reputation'.
The referee was shite and a reminder why I struggle to watch live football without wanting to throw something at the TV, they ruin games too often.

None of this gets away from the fact, we could still be playing now and wouldn't score a goal, such is our form and luck at the moment.
