Somewhat unfair IMO. He didn't look too sharp but he did put in a real shift today.

I thought that too actually.

Really? He spent most of his time walking round the centre circle. I know it can be soul-destroying, constantly closing down the opposition CBs, especially when you're on your own up there, but he should have been doing it for the team - even more so when we went down to 10 men. He did that in his first two seasons for us: it's one of the reasons (along with all the fantastic goals, obv) that we loved him so much.

i think he's scared of breaking down again. Like owen before him after his injuries he never had the same acceleration or work rte as he didn't want his hamstrings to explode.

I think he looked genuinely happy today. Before the game anyway
[/quote]

I've had a think about it and he's probably just aged.

He never looked the happiest chappy on the bench in the late 80s/90s. Except when we scored.

I'm just sceptical given his absence from the frontline of the sport.

I am also quietly optimistic.

Kenny has aged after seeing us suffer so long but he will put the smiles back on our faces, only then will you see him smile!

He was actually smiling plenty beforehand. I agree with Sunny - I think the guy's Christmases have all come at once with this appointment, and I'm confident that that will communicate itself to the players too.
