Karius might actually be good

On form he was always a good shot stopper, as was Mignolet, but the difference which sets the mid-table keepers from the top-class keepers is the lack of mistakes, positioning and concentration required to pull that amazing save off after doing fuck all for 89 minutes. None of that can be proved on a YT comp.

Plus I just hate seeing his stupid cunt boyband whiny little bitch face.

He may become a good keeper in time, hes got all the physical attributes. But his concentration levels are poor and his confidence is brittle.

He released that stupid fucking video in LA, I don't think i'll ever forgive him for that.

Can we get some money for him or is he loaned out for the rest of his contract?

And are we going to pay some stupid money for a number 2 this summer?

For all his faults, Mong is still as good as any number 2 in the league. He'll probably want to leave as he has no chance of playing here though - but the problem is nor has anyone else so I guess our best bet might be getting some old cunt on a 1-2 year deal and repeat that after his contract's up

I can't see Mignolet being willing to stay with no games. But his attitude has been solid this year. I wouldn't be upset if he did stay as number 2 and we just never saw him play again.

He wasn't every time he played, and in fact his form rose after he'd been out of the team and came back in with the pressure off, so I'd be OK with him stopping on as our no.2. Like others, though, I doubt he'll be happy to do so indefinitely, which is what would happen with Alisson now firmly established as first choice.

Karius wasn't either, and had actually made two or three decent saves even in Kiev until his brain meltdown, but there'll never be a way back for him now at LFC.

He was mostly terrible for us. He got away with a few howlers en route to Kiev too. Fluffed a save at home to Roma at 0-0 that fortunately hit the bar, could have done better with some of the goals out there too. City had a goal wrongly disavowed off a shite punch of his too. He never looked comfortable/confident for us. I felt sorry for him, until that video.

Fuck Karius and fuck Mignolet. Both were given far too many chances by Klopp, when almost every single Liverpool fan knew they weren't good enough.

Excuse after excuse: he's young, it's a new league and country, he'll be far better when he has a "settled" defence/ we buy a DM/ blah blah blah. Same with all the fucking excuses and blind hope some had for the likes of Lovren and Sakho.

Eventually you just have to wake up and admit it's the player who needs changing, and that's what Klopp belatedly did by spending £140m on Allison and Van Dijk.

Result? Best defensive record in the league and a paltry 15 goals conceded.

Karius is fucking shit.

I sincerely hope we don't even entertain the thought of him returning. Terminate his contract - he cost us #6 and deserves no attention or airtime from our squad or staff.

For the first time in years, we've got several really promising young keepers coming up, so if Ming goes this summer we don't need a long term replacement. I wonder how Ward feels now about his move - it's hardly been an improvement on sitting on the bench here.

Just read he, along with several others, have not been paid for the last four months by Besiktas.

It's not like he's normally good but who in their right mind would be giving 100% in those circumstances.

Which one do you think will make the leap? Grabara? Kelleher? George?

Are there any others

Those three are the ones. Personally I think Kelleher looks like he'll at least reach Danny Ward's standard, or could go beyond it. He's got a good all round game, he's very cool and composed, and he looks like he's seriously focused on making his career progress. Grabara is interesting - reminiscent of Brucie in his craziness. He fears nothing, so could end up crocked, but is quite a distinctive natural talent. But George really excites me - he's the kind of keeper who can save with feet, legs, head, hands, just about anything, he's amazingly calm for someone of his age and he's made some outstanding saves against forwards who've only had him to beat. It's a long way ahead for him but he's quite a talent. And certainly, compared to the mediocrities we've had in the recent past, these three are very promising.
