Karius - Has there been a wurst goal keeper?

Kirkland was one of the very worst goalkeepers we've ever had.

But if you start including reserve keepers, then Brad Jones, Bogdan and of course, Shitandji would be standouts

Mike Hooper was a good back up keeper, exactly what he was supposed to be.
Yeah I thought that. I remember reading shoot when I was a nipper and him being described as the very best reserve goalie in the league and he would walk into most other first teams.

I thought he was fine last night, some great distribution at times and he couldn't have done much with either goal.

There was a moment between lovren, karius and moreno that he was partly culpable for and generally he doesn't seem to command his area but hopefully becoming more vocal will happen as his confidence grows

I've still never seen him make a memorable save. Not one. I've seen him punch the ball and pick it out the back of the net. And that's all.

From what I've witnessed I don't think we've had a worse keeper that's played any more than a few games, no.

Yesterday was two shots on goal, two goals allowed. Christ on a bike.

Perhaps Karius has the worst shots on goal : goals allowed ratio?

Where's @King Binny when you need him?

Ward is set to start the league cup games, so we'll soon see how HE fares.

That's just crazy. So we're now alternating between three keepers!

Ward should've been sent back out on loan... and Karius should've been given the cups to try and demonstrate some worth.

Karius has the distribution qualities of a top goalkeeper and is worth persevering imo. He was awful last season but the hand injury didn't help his progression.

Not alternating exactly. Look, I've made my views very clear on keepers, I hate 'resting' them, but it's evident on here that fans are sceptical about Karius whilst cautious about Ward (while either holding or affecting disdain for Ming), so there's some logic in seeing what the two reserve keepers can do before, presumably, selling one of them.

If he only he had the saving goals quality 😉
