Increasing by £20m is a bit odd. Why not increase by 50p ?
[/quote]

because they can.

I wonder if Chelski and Milan will deny this tomorrow morning, like they did the Real bid last night/this morning.

If I had an open chequebook, I think I'd be looking at Messi/Ribery/Strikers etc before Kaka. Weird.

Chelsea have already denied it.

I have smashed Rouge out of the water with an amazing offer that has made me front-runner to sign Hitler

Press conference has been called for 2pm GMT

From our point of view, we are now officially denying the existence of, not just any offer, but also the player himself.

I wear Nike running shoes in the gym, cos they're fantastic for the treadmill & they were in the sale.

Cant recall ever owning anything else Nike though.

I actually had a look through my wardrobe and I've got nothing by NIke either, but it wasn't a conscious choice.

Oncy - what's your opposition to them ?

Apart from being the poster boys for the minimal wage on child labour verging on slave labour, not much. I hate Nike though I'll admit that their slogan of "just do it" is one of the best I'd ever seen when they first introduced it.

As for Kaka - I can't actually think of a better fit with almost any team than Kaka and Chelsea - unless its Ribery and LFC. 😉

But that Chelsea team, despite their stars, looked so methodical and dreary it was unreal; Kaka would be a great signing to add creativity and he plays in just the right position - unless you're Frank Lampard.

Nike make some good stuff and I don't think you can afford to be snobby about it if you're an Adidas fanboy.

;D ;D

Actually, Ken it would be difficult to be snobby about it with any major manufacturer. I'm personally a fan of Asic but they do the same as do all of them - you can't survive commercially otherwise.

Having said that, Nike were the first to really exploit it and, rather than help make a change they tried to exploit it further. Additionally Nike are credited with the deterioration in players fitness with the introduction of their "gel" in the heels of shoes. This serves to reduce the action of the achilles tendon and makes it more prone to injuries as well as the muscles in the lower leg.

So, its fo several reasons I dislike Nike.

I wear nike astro's and running trainers, only because they fit my foot better. Adidas are to wide i've found over the years. And as black and uncunt like as i can get them (which arent too many in this era of garish, neon bladed and corkscrewed shit weasel boots).

Otherwise, my gym gear is mostly Adidas, Reebok or old surf t-shirts.

Don´t know if it has already been mentioned in this thread but according to Zidane (yesterday) Kaka has signed for Real Madrid.

Kaka has agreed. Forget about the cry he made to the reporters to leave him alone blah blah blah. Milan now are negotiating the best possible fee for Kaka. Wait till Monday and everything will be official.

Tell me, what country are you in now? I'm guessing Southeast Asia or Ireland.

AC Milan star Kaka has 'already signed for Real Madrid', according to Zinedine Zidane.

An announcement on Kaka's future is expected on Monday as reports continue to suggest he is set to leave the San Siro.

Real are said to be the favourites to land the Brazilian's signature, although Chelsea are rumoured to have made a record-breaking offer for his services.

France legend Zidane, who played at Santiago Bernabeu for five years, believes a deal has been agreed to secure Kaka's move to Spain.

"Kaka has already signed for Real," Zidane said.

"I would be happy if he were to take my number, the No.5, I would not be jealous."

He can't be in SE Asia. It's too long a flight even for him for his weekly dinners with Rafael. It must be Ireland or the UK then.

Zidane is one funny guy. Why would Kaka take his number? They'll give him the number 10.
