I'm sure they'll have it up and running in no time.

You mock him but he probably was at Bletchley Park working side-by-side with Alan Turing... He remembers the days when they had to put punched hole cards to programme a computer

Errr I remember that (in fact did it), and I am considerably younger than JJ.

Genuinely I can read punch cards still ..... 🤓

A broken PC is a lame excuse, he could have just fired up "Old Faithful" - I'm convinced he could have connected that and contacted us, albeit in black & white.
Maybe when he said he was playing with "Old Faithful" he wasn't talking about his "computer" all along. . .

I’ve already told lots of people at work that a good friend of mine from the internet died this week. Now that Jules is alive again that puts me in a potentially tricky position. Is there anyone else missing from SCM that I can consider dead as a sort of tactical substitution for Jules?

You're all relieved but I always thought of jj as a power couple. I preferred the right honourable, though off-brand pcu.

By the way, weeks for fixing a pcu? Put a new one in and plug in all the little connections, then do the case ones again because you were in a rush and now there's no power light, or something else dumb. It's an hour.

Then, you know, find out what the power supply killed when it died and buy a new one.

@Dreambeliever has been quiet of late?

Did he make across to the new site or is he still on Tapatalk refreshing every 15 minutes and hoping for signs of life?

I wonder if my employer would approve compassionate leave for such circumstances. I might try it

I'm afraid you guys didn't play expert 11 where the forum's secret elite congregate. It was the Expert 11 members who brought JJ's absence to wider attention. In truth the rest of you are like bugs to us Xpert11-ers.
Dantes?

I do fear for Oncy's longevity. Last I heard he had gone vegan, bought an electric car and grown a beard.

Well a quick peek at LTW's avatar should be a good starter
