His long-range passing from the back in particular has added an element we've been sorely missing since the loss of the big Dutchman. A very good point. Funny isn’t it how the grass looks greener. A little step back reflection is always a good thing. I’m loving Hendo at CB. Can we draw masher comparisons?

Didn't they have a similar situation in the first half of last season? Kompany left & not replaced, Laporte long term injury, Stones in & out, Fernandinho having to play at CB for long periods ... pretty sure they had one or two matches with another midfielder playing alongside Fernandinho. Maybe it wasn't as bad & as prolonged as our problems, I really cant remember all the details. But that was the period where they effectively blew the their chances of the title
